I like to mix the wet food scraps with dry shredded cardboard in my compost tumbler I don’t need to add water. You have very good worm food source. Thanks for the video. Well done 👍👍👍

After I watched your intro video for the new reactor I took your advice & watched a couple other KZread videos explaining how such a reactor is built and is operated. I'm really looking forward to seeing the results of yours. Having it directly over a drain is a terrific convenience - and the fact that you were able to place all the veggies into the reactor was awesome. Keep the fascinating videos comin'! Thank you for sharing 👍🏻

Wow that was a big messy job. Biggest lasagna bin ever. I'm glad you used up all the smelly food. It will be interesting to see this bin reduce over time. Let us know how hot it gets and if it stinks up the room.

Gaetano, this is an interesting subject, and if you master it you’ll have so much quality precompost for your worms…! One commendation, the camera microphone picks up so much ambient noise it makes you difficult to understand at times. Recommend you plug a lavalier mic to have close to you. Will really up the listenability. Thanks for the informative vid!

@@northeastworms does your lumix have a port to line in? If so I picked up an amazing $15 wired one from Amazon that is amazingly clear, has a long cord if you don’t mind wired.

@Eric's Worm Playground I actually have an external Rode video Mic is pretty, powerful and clear. Is just the heater that makes this. The heater is one of these huge heat blowers, and I think that the frequency of the noise somehow covers the sound of the voice. If you see the previous video in the new warehouse with the new equipment, the sound is pretty decent. I have to remember to switch off the heather next time. I don't like corded because I move a lot during my videos, and it's not time to spend more money LOL. I will make work what I have. Thank you for your suggestion my friend

Gaetano, great to think creatively and provide your worms with a pre-composted food source. Are you worried about the offgassing at all in the building? ~ Sandra

Hello Sandra. Regarding the off gassing we will see, the warehouse is so big that may be this will not be a problem. It was the first phase of the experiment, and I really don't know

Since U have a mixer, why not mix the wet veggies with dry leafs and then dump everything in the reactor? It can save you time and less messy

My Man !! Fascinating, and love this Gaetano This is just a guess, but I think you'll see a temperature 3' off the bottom above 170 °F. By mass, it is about 50-50 but weight it has to be around 10-90 CN ratio. Crazy by traditional methodology, but I love it. I think anerobes may be the biggest challenge, and it'll it may lose its initial mass by more than half. Please tell me you'll keep temperature records :))) Next time if I'm in the neighborhood, I'll definitely help. My only suggestion would be to only pull 1 pipe and see if the hole is stable ? No matter what, we'll all learn something, and the worms will eventually love it !! Awesomeness 🌱

I know that the ratio is "unusual," but again, I am not looking for "compost" l, but to precompost the food for the worms. Is an experiment that, if works, will resolve one of my biggest challenges. To pre-compost the worms' food indoor
