You can hide your steps, your elbows, your knees, your hips, your waist all help your feet move. As long as you're moving, even just shifting weight between left and right side, you dramatically increase your defensive and offensive abilities. It's when you stop moving that you get hit. Even little half steps count, you can even look flat footed, gliding on an un-noticable pendulum of weight shifts.

Smart pressure is using the feet, angle control, you always want to have the advantage angle, you want to avoid being in a position where it's 50:50. Perfect foot position is putting you in a position to deliver a knock out and the opponent cannot attack, that would be 100:0 in your favor. Realistically you will never get 100:0, but in a game of millimeters and inches being 55:45 in your favor can be enough to make the difference.

Thanks a lot for these tips coach, some points are the ones i already do i.e be the aggressor, head movement, throwing jab to cut the ring off and hit the body as much as possible. But, this video of yours makes me feel more good and makes my thought process more firm. Thanks a ton. Always love your videos, keep them coming 🙌🙌

Good video. For guys that use a lot of head movement I often go for the chest because that is often where their head is.

The problem with just being aggressive by going after a moving opponent is they can counter punch you. When you get caught coming forward it’s double the power. I’ll stick with cutting off the ring and setting up punches with the jab. Mike Tyson used a very effective Jab against Larry Holmes to bridge the distance.

That Mayweather uses to much clinching ,that in the old rules of boxing he would have lost a couple of fights!! The Olympic rules are based on aggressiveness more than looking cute in the ring!! That is why he lost in the Olympics.

Mayweather Clinches with aggressive Fighter who jumps then devours you like a wolf, Shane Mosley, Maidana and Pacquiao. They are not fighter who moving around and sting like a bee style like type of fighter we are talking about.

It all looks so simple and controlled, yet in reality when push comes to shove, it all gets messy. I remember an amateur fight at a gym that I trained at, and it was pissing me off how one guy basically steamrolled his opponent in less than two minutes. Then when I watch elite pro boxers, it all looks so controlled. And while I understand thst there levels to this, I can't fully make sense of it. Can I send you that two minute amateur fight via Instagram? Maybe you can help me out to draw a conclusion.

Elite pros are usually more evenly matched and know a mistake could cost them the fight. Amateur fights are shorter so more fast paced and sometimes the better more confident fighter will win quickly because of this.
