@SprayWayCustoms... YOU ARE GOOD at what you do. I have watched more than a couple of your vids. One vid I followed you at the parts yard stripping parts for electric seats. I am a woman 70yrs of age. In my youth I repaired my own vehicles. Later, got lazy allowed my companion to make repairs or pay others to do them for us. Now he's deceased. I can't afford new, computerized, car prices for a '92 Nissan. I've had my truck 14yr, paid $200 for it. Has an "excellent" motor, ran good until gas line leaked (rust). The driverside body had/has some "major" damage and for a window I took measurements to a glass making company and the cut out "hard, clear plastic that sufficed having held up all these year. Now, "this year" I'm going to repair my truck, outside and inside. However, there is no panel to the door. After watching you, I decided to improvise. I have purchased near "everything" necessary to do the work. I will enjoy doing this as a hobby because since my companion passed 7yrs ago, I shut down and did near nothing since. Watching you guys vids have been inspiring and uplifting for me. I am so grateful for all the vids I've watched, being "hundreds." You and two others were very detailed and explicit in "how to, step by step." I saved those vids. But to be "fair" your's are the most promising for me because you used and stated what "tools" I have purchased since watching these vids three months ago. Again, I am grateful. Thank you. Oh yes, by the way, in this vid when evening out the resin using the angle grinder, I think (this time I don't if you said, but it definitly look to be) you did not say if you were sanding or what, only that you were smoothing to prepare for the gray coating (much said, memory short, so forgot name of substance. I will rewatch and write every item you used. This occurred two steps before Bondo filler. Will you tell me what tool you used in the angle grinder? Thank you. Forgot to include I SUBSCRIBED! My first of these particular vid.

First off I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your companion...second thanks for the great comment Estell. The tool I used is actually a Dual Action Sander / Polisher. It looks like a grinder but it's not. It's made by Porter Cable

The only suggestion I would make... if I may? Lol for all the DIYers out there is to use a little thicker wood for the legs like 1/2 inch or so it’ll give a more stable base for your speaker rings but other than that great work bro!

Thank you for posting this... I just bought a 87 Fleetwood for my beginner lowrider.... (my dream is 61 ace impala) and we are putting a 8 grand soundsystem in it... it's going to sound epic. I have my pop a orginal lowrider for 70s 80s era and he knows how to do pretty much everything when it comes to lowrider but I'm new. We are going to fiberglass our doors with a custom build and videos like this make it less stressful for me moving forward. You are appreciated and I subscribed.

Your channel inspired me but I need to take my time a lot more to do a better job. I'm also thinking that I would like to turn the speakers inward and pointing down so that they aren't visible to people as they walk by. do you have any ideas on how to do that?

Doing fiberglass is time consuming and it takes a lot of sanding. When ever you think you're done hit it again with the sanding block. I'll have to see your set up to kind of get an idea what you trying to go with. Thanks

I started doing car audio about 15 -20 years ago. I had to learn most of my skills the hard way. With that being said, I wish you or some else had been around to instruct me. I think that this is a great opportunity for both the new and seasoned audio designer. I do however have a suggestion that I learned the hard way, about making the rings without a template. What I do is take the cardboard ring that held the sub and make the first hole. I set the sub into that hole, then I use the outline of the sub for the outer ring. Keep up whatcha' do brotha!
