@@lukpatamoses9492 Oh thanks for the shout back bro. Samsung repair center managed to really do a number on my phone. The GPS stopped working and while it was under warranty had to send it in for repair. I DO NOT recommend sending ANYTHING to Samsung repair center. Mind you my phone was in MINT out of the box condition.....The first email I got was to inform me the Part for the GPS was on order. Great. Then a week later another email saying the battery would not charge. CRAZY! Thats not my phone! Then yet another email saying the display does not work! WHAT????? Then another email saying cosmentic damage. AT that point I called spoke to a manager only to learn you can not speak to the tech working on my phone. BUT the manager said it looks like the cosmetic damage is from them breaking the back of my phone. I said I want my PERFECT phone back...BUT I got a refurb that was parden my french S H I T. Spoke to the office of the President of Samsung, a Sharhonda gal and she refunded me for the phone... BUT by April of 2020 I could not find a new 9+ only refurb...So I sit here still with my Samsung OLD s4. SO PISSED at Samsung. I think they still owe me an explanation and a NEW phone! They destroyed MY property. Refunded me yes but left me in the cold with NO replacement as I had to send the refurb back....Anyway glad you got your situation figured out. I miss my phone.

This method DOES work: You can also use hardware keys to perform a factory reset. 1) Turn off your phone, 2) Then press and hold the Power/Bixby key and Volume Up key, then press and hold the Power key. Release the keys when the Android mascot appears. 3) When the Android system recovery menu appears, use the Volume Down key to select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" 4) Press the Power/Bixby key to proceed. 5) Select Yes and proceed again. 6) When the factory reset completes, select "Reboot System Now" As of 20.15Hrs on 27th June 2020 this does work. At your own risk etc etc

Yes, following these instructions did work for me on 3rd March 2021. I couldn't use my screen at all. Hardware keys were the only option. Thank you!

Do you need email and passwlrd you previously used when reseting? Because. If so, i don't have it, and somehow my email saved like pretty corny shots that i took to ask my friend what the hell it is that they be sending so, i may die if parents see it XD

I pressed the button but it only keeps showing Samsung S9. It didn't get to factory reset setting

I added my email on a different phone, will that be deleted too althou it's on a different phone

An issue I keep having is that it gets stick on the Verizon screen for hours. I tried to factory reset multiple times after the occurrence but it keeps doing that and it doesn't go through the android startup. Please help 🥺😢😢

IT DO NOT WORK - There is NO skip option at the Google sign in... I cant get any further.. I dont remenber ever entering a google account..

If an apple ID is signed in, you'll need the password to reset it.

This method does NOT work with an Samsung S9+

I just did it to my s9+ sat with the boot screen for almost 10 minutes on the 1st start so long I thought it was bricked. Held down power button to restart and it booted in lest than a min
