How to Express Empathy in English | For Client Care and Personal Relationships

Empathy is essential for customer relations and strong personal relationships. Moreover, empathy can help to ease pain, resolve conflict, and establish stronger connections.

    Excellent and very useful lesson. Sometimes we stop being empathic with our surroundings and we don't look at the signs that tell us that the person is crying out for attention and support.

    hi Annemarie. another fantastic video. thank you so much for your dedication. I know that expressing emotions is way too complicated in any language, however I find it even harder in English, since this language uses subtle ways when it comes to putting feelings into words.

    Hi Annmarie, I totally agree with you that sympathy is the basis of emotional intelligence. I think that all strategies are good if the man does his actions correctly. In my point of view, strategy one is preferable because creating a deeper connection with a person that needs help is the first step.

    I just want to ask about much more and many more. I know that much is used for uncountable noun and the opposite for more, but sometimes I find myself say many more for uncountable noun, does it a vary weird thing which make others notice my big mistakes or native speaker say it sometimes?

    One more question if you please, I read an email which started with I wanted to let you know ......... I used to use want for the present and wanted for the past. So how is that possible for the writer to use past tense(wanted) or it has another meaning here?

    Thanks for the question. Both are correct and both are used. What is often different is the context. _I want to let you know_ is often used to introduce some news, often news that is unpleasant. _I wanted to let you know_ is used when you thought about something you wanted to share but couldn't at that moment in time.
