Think Out Loud in English - 4 Instant Strategies for Introverts
Speak before you feel ready. Share your ideas confidently, even when they aren’t fully formed, by thinking out loud in English.
How many times have you worried that your English just isn’t good enough because, when someone asked you a question in a business meeting, you struggled to find your words or express your idea clearly?
In job interviews, busy meetings, and even conversations with friends, it may be expected that you’re ready to respond to questions… even while you’re still thinking about what to say.
If you’re naturally introverted, you may prefer to think before you speak. You might prefer to have your ideas fully formed and perfect before you share them.
This is very similar to how you might feel about using English - you might prefer to think and have time to get all your thoughts together before you speak.
To help you feel more comfortable thinking out loud without getting stuck, even when your thoughts aren’t 100% clear or your idea isn’t fully formed yet, here are 4 Instantly Effective Strategies for Thinking Out Loud in English.

I am keep thinking out loud and talk to myself. Today, i know that, thats a *problem*. But i hsve to say that talking with myself improved my english a lot. Especially my speaking skills. Since i had nobody to talk to, but i talked with myself. And when i came back to school after a long time, my teachers were talking about how my english was good
I'm not an introvert but I also prefer to think before I speak or express my ideas.
American English is my second language and because of this Thinking out loud while I am in the middle of a conversation is my big challenge. I think that’s important to know a lot of vocabulary in different areas to improve my skills
You are the greatest teacher from KZread. Congrats.

I shared your videos with my children even though they are having degrees from USA.
Hi Anne you are a beneficent teacher
I'm talking to myself and I realized that it's a great way to improve your English, however I am concerned because when it come to speak in real life I am sort of shy and sometimes I am not able to express my thoughts.

It's funny that I'm more introvert, but I love to think out loud 😄
I construct my ideas on the based of existing ideas. I love that concept.
if I have a friendly conversation, I fill the void of my speech with parasit-words, for example : you know :) And I try to use moving my hands because the main goal of our communication anyway is understanding each other.

That's a good idea.
I prefer the strategy of piggyback with the others' ideas. It seems that people like to be affirmed or flattered, so it might be easier to engage in constant discussion and conversation.

Happy Teacher's Day!
Hi Anne. You are too good for us. I can't express my thoughts about your articulation of this language also your personality coming out of your words. It's really commendable. I will be the happiest one to get your reaction on this apart from saying thank you. I am also a small teacher of English in India.
The most exciting strategy is the first one for the beginning when I'm stressed. My phrase will be: "Before I answer that I would like to clarify the details we have decided to share. Maybe someone has an addition or change to the past decision?"
'Mindscape' is new for me.
Thank you very much.
You are great. Thank you so much TEACHER!

Strategy three : What are your thoughts on scheduling job in the weekdays instead of weekends. Every week I make sure I listen to your videos Ann. This is a journey and And these videos help me to improve my English
Thank you for always sharing your great knowledge of English in real daily life. Probably I choose the third method you have taught me to get through the struggle that is not ready to express my opinion. It is the same in both my native and English language situations. For example, assuming a conference in real work, I would say: "I think both Plan A and Plan B are very nice. Could you please let me hear the evidence of each of you who support A or B Plan, so that they help me express my ideas very well.”

Hi Annemarie, An interesting and informative lesson. I appreciate your efforts and learnered new things. Thank you,
Hello welcome thank you good lesson
thanks very much Annemarie. I'd like the third and forth strategies: invite others to my mindsacpe and piggy back other's points.
Your video is very helpful. And I also really like your channel, hope you have more meaningful lessons and videos. Ah, can you add a topic about IELTS?

I am thinking to express my opinion like below: I can't agree anymore, but I would like to add that if we take care A then will benefit more to B.
i'd like to use strategy number 3. invite them into my mindscape haha. i would like to see what happens in the meeting.
Amazing
Would've been Could've been Should've been Must've been Could you make a Video for these? i dunno know how to use these .. i hope you grant me this favour Massive Thanks Teacher Anna Marie God bless you and your Family 👍❤️🙏😃

I'm just thinking a little out loud here but what if we commit a little bit more with our english learning? ... I'm just trying to use one of the forms that the teacher provided us. Thanks.
Love your way
Maam, please teach us the words those can replace the outdated words and teach us synonyms such what exact words have to be used while writing or speaking besides grammar

I'm worried all the time. It's my fault because i did not pay much attention learning the language before. Now, i feel like i want to learn everything all at once because i desperately need it. I do understand English very well but speaking and writing are definitely my weakest areas. I'm trying to dedicate more time learning English by religiously listening to Annemarie and others on KZread.

Those are great ideas, but what are your thoughts on exploring new marketing strategies. What's your opinion regarding this.
As an introverted person, most of the times I use the 4th strategy.

once you add the word BUT to the sentence you then cancel what you just said before the word BUT .....
I’m not really finding this helpful for the topic. The first part is a good way to alleviate anxiety around sharing ideas that aren’t fully thought out yet but it does nothing to help you actually think of those half thought out ideas in a acceptable time frame. While adding the extra sentence seems like it helps buy you extra time to think of ideas it generally doesn’t because it’s basically impossible to think in words and talk at the same time so all the extra time spent talking is not giving you any extra thinking time.
I know only to type ' lol '
I couldn't help listening to my closest circle.
