How to export FBX with textures Blender
How to export FBX with textures Blender
If you've been searching for how to export FBX with textures in Blender, then this video is exactly what you are looking for.
In this video, I'll teach you how to export FBX with the textures included so that you can easily use the FBX file along with it's texture in another 3D application. I'll first demonstrate the default FBX export option to confirm if the textures are included in the file and then we progress to learn how to export the FBX file with the textures embedded in the file.

cheers but this coulda been a 10 second video really
Very big thanks ❤
thank you man
the best video!
Thank you
Thanks, this works! Though it has certain limitations if your geometry needs modifiers applied during export, or multiple objects with different materials use the same texture. :v
thank you sir
I am trying to export an fbx file and evertime it gets exported into unreal the mesh has a square plane with it not sure how to delete this as its not in the blender viewport so not sure what is causing this to happen? any ideas?
Cool, works
thank u bro
thanks bro
Hey, great video. How about importing FBX files that have embedded textures? I used the online 3d viewer from your video and it shows up texturized but when I import the same FBX file in blender it has no color or texture?? What can I do for the FBX import to activate the embedded textures? Thank you!

How do I save the texture as a .png?
i have UDIM tiles in my geometry , i have noticed they are not embeded to my fbx ,when i try to pack those textures into the blend they are not working either .Any tips for me ?

Hi, apologies for the late response. Try baking your maps with Cycles and save it as an image texture. You can then plug the baked image textures directly into the Principled shader and export it with the embed texture feature. I hope this helps.
microphone audio settings plz
it doesn't works
That’s good but it still doesn’t work if you’re using anything besides a plain diffuse material. Anything with glossy or normals or emissive still doing port over if you’re going to certain programs.

Yeah, having a complex node setup might be problematic. If you have textures with color ramps or other nodes, try baking your maps with Cycles and save it as an image texture. You can then plug the baked image textures directly into the Principled shader and export it with the embed texture feature.I will try and make a video on this. I hope this helps

@@blender_helpdesk you rock for the reply. Thank you. I did know this. I was only stating this for any of the complete newbies that thought they were about to create an extremely long and complex material and then get disappointed to find out this method doesn’t work for that.
Thx for the info but this was a video that could have been 10-20 sek long. Why do You make it so long? Do You get more paid from KZread if it's longer?

Thanks for your feedback. Just wanted to break it down and show evidence of the export of the texture.

Also, KZread does not pay you based on the length of the video, KZread pays you based on every 1000 views you get for "Ads" placed on your monetized channel. My channel is not monetized
Why doesn't it work for me😢, I've seen not less than 7 tutorials with the same procedure and I do the same thing I keep losing my textures😢😢😢.
