That is the typical P51 player. Yes, you are right, a P51 at high altitude with a BF109G and an energy advantage should win. All he had to do was extend away after the 109 went for a stall maneuver.

Please, to people reading this. Even if you are 1km away, do NOT fly in a straight line. This guy seems to kind of know what he is doing, but the P51 also made a lot of mistakes and apparently has terrible aim. Any half decent player would have killed this 109 like 4 times in the video.

Not the best example because your opponent clearly had no clue what he was doing here.

you open yoruself up to way too many shots here, would not advise this there are better ways to go about reversals and energy fighting

where u went wrong was bringing the mg151 instead of the mk108 and playing way to passive. just fight him and win. ur better. the plane is better. hope it helps!

The p51 frame is strong so if you high and some gets on your tail just dive and gain speed to run away Alot of enermies will chase and they can't go 800kph they will tear apart

most of the planes in this game fly at 150kph below their IRL cruising speed. They also don't model wing rip very well, once the stresses overcome your wing material they just pop off like a pair of corks. In this game it takes absolutely forever to get a wing rip on even shitty wooden zero's.

If he was accurate this vid probably end around 30 seconds.

In a dogfight wouldn't the g10 technically come out on top?

sorry but this is really bad. u just pitched up infront of him while he missed all his shots

no offense, but this P51 is as noob aiming as me. An average player can kill you in 2 or 3 big chances, the energy advantage was so much

TBH this seems less 'how to energy trap' and more like 'making my opponent overshoot' which is basically all you can do if you're in a situation like this. Any decent P-51D player, heck any patient player in general would realize. "This dude is trying to force an overshoot" and maneuver himself accordingly. This is a good video to showcase why you should still think ahead as a P-51D pilot-even at high-alt-as each pass you make that doesn't kill is a mistake and you only get so many mistakes with the amount of energy you have compared to your opponent. Good fight nonetheless.
