@@Big_speakerm yeah i play gunship 3 us navy one of the friends are full trhottle and then he not pull the plane up and then just go stall to the oceans and my turn when i take off from the carrier its always hear stall warning and landing carrier is quite easy but the hardest one is need to touch the cable

As someone who struggled to make a B25 take off from the Lexington on Il-2's Pacific expansion, I felt the pain. One thing I figured out while testing though, it's tempting to have flaps set when you begin, but they add drag. I found it better to wait until almost the end of the runway and only then deploy them, all the way to their Landing position. You could get the plane to kind of barely have lift without stalling if it was perfectly level. In the end, the best I could do was get a Douglas A-20 with a torpedo loadout off of it, though landing was an entirely different matter.

In 2004, Baku was sold to India and was converted into a proper aircraft carrier with a ski jump.

It got comminsed in the Indian navy in 2014 as INS Vikramaditya. Even though the Russians robbed us with the deal by making us pay twice the amount. But still the carrier is pretty good and will serve for another 25-30 years.

pro tip for faster takeoff, start with flaps retracted then open them up at like 150, depends on the plane so experiment a lil : ) edit, wont help enough for baku tho. just a lil faster acceleration.

You know getting the edge of the carrier, setting it to afterburner and holding the brakes allows you to take off in most aircraft.

I'm not exactly an expert on this and i havent played jets a lot lately but what if you wait for the MiG-21 engine to "cook up" and then slowly trottle up and then throttle to max?

Also when you take off before you hit the water you put your gears up so you whont go in the water or lift up very high while gears down.

I have tried so many times to take off normally in test flight with the Yak-28 but you literraly just have to hover, because your to close to the edge of the carrier

Remember my first time test dirve mig something and dont know how to VTOL

Well. I saw video with our czechoslovakian Mig21s, which started from short runway using boosters (like Il-28 in game). Boosters provided additional 80% of power to plane, which now can take off from half of needed runway. Not used on aircraft carrier of course.

Nah we'll start it off using a Rocketdyne F-1 engine that should shorten the takeoff roll a bit

it is possible to take off and land a Mig-21F-13 on 1 Baku carrier if you got the skills i use to do it in sim

Solution is simpler Mig-21 can mount on fuselage rocket engine which helps in heavy load out take offs.

Turns out you can take off a Yak-38 from the carrier in conventional take off mode

I only have one question are these aircraft carriers hungry?

U can take off with thr bis with min fuel, holding tha brakes and pulling down flaps when u abandon the runway

how can you accelerate while pressing the brakes?? i cant find the option to do that in controls

Simplest trick in the book, have separate button for them. Press and hold brake while throttling up the engine and then keep holding brake until the plane starts to move forward.

VTOL planes and jets: I have no weakness.

But you didn’t put flaps down for takeoff...it helps increase the drag on the wings and makes you take off quicker

I actually think a more powerful mig-21 should be able to take off a single baku with min fuel and landing flaps. With landing flaps you can do like 240kph and not slam the ground immediately

And that’s why it’s called a helicopter carrier because you can’t get enough speed in time on helicopter carriers
