BF 109 F4 - How I fight against TURN FIGHTERS - Tactics - War thunder
Ойындар
This is a tactic i learnt off better players and i thought this would be great for everyone else who's having a hard time fighting against turn fighters in their BNZ fighter. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO THIS MOVE, YOUR AT HIGH SPEED!
add your own flavor to this move, but make sure you have enough horse power to get away from your enemy :)

@@mr.randomyt1097 I love playing AB xD even tho the spitfire turn rate is faster than the Bf's I love to see a self confident spitfire pilot coming up to me he thinks: "man a Bf Imma turn out his ass and shoot him out" I guess but I almost always manage it to out turn him and the fun begins when he takes a new plane and he comes to me again and again and I do the same as I did before as long as he keeps coming for me. XD It's just so fun. And I'm not really agressive mostly I fly at around 5000m to 6500m height and wait for people to come for me or climb to attack our bombers. I keep our high altitude airspace clear from enemy fighters and I stay up there I don't go down. In the event in september I tried everything to get my 50% battle activity I mostly got at least 10 kills but it was so stressful so I'm happy to get 2 or 4 kills at high altitude. xD

Just moments ago I was flying my Bf 109 F-4 at 6km when I run into a Yak-3 Baguette-version. I have an altitude advantage so I think it'll be easy! I avoid his head on, but he turns around and starts gaining on me. I think "oh crap, what would Green Fury do?" Obviously, "shallow dive" is the first thought, but he's still gaining on me! But at least I now have time to think. If I can lure him low, maybe my allies can help. So I do this twice, he gets distracted by another 109, I do a high yo-yo and blow his wing off. I don't think I perform any of your maneuvers right, but know that when I fly, I think of your guidance and it magically gets me wins anyways.

Beautiful flying. I think turning ability is one of the most overrated abilities an airplane can have. Given two planes of equal performance, sure, turning ability is useful, but I’d always take performance over turning ability.

It's always fun to do this, but it would be a lot less frustrating if Zero's couldn't pull 13g's in a high speed fight. Gaijin forgot to give them control stiffening... That and they do great in the vertical despite mediocre power/weight and small props.
@bobuboi4643

@@bobuboi4643 I'll politely disagree on this. The vertical loop or vertical tactics of the Zero were commonly used against the F4F Wildcat (which was the most common carrier fighter of the USN from '41 - '42). The F4F Wildcat was very heavy and had a very underpowered engine making its performance kind of sluggish but it had very good armor though its pilots were also undertrained in focused dogfighting. The Zero, lighter and faster with a great engine, would bait Wildcats into the vertical to force them to stall and then loop back around to finish the Wildcat off. The F6F Hellcat was developed to directly counter the Zero itself hence why it was given an extremely powerful 2200 hp Pratt & Whitney two-stage supercharged radial engine to negate its weight and increase both its speed and range performance. The Hellcat also had a lot very good armor which made it even tougher for Zeroes to shoot down while the Zero could be ripped apart by the Hellcat's 6 x .50 calibers. The Hellcat both outran, out-armored, was equal to a Zero on the vertical but out-dived the Zero because of its engine, strong airframe and sheer weight. By '43 - '45, the Zero's ability to practically dogfight the Hellcat was diminished not just because it was outperformed but the Japanese also didn't have enough time to train their pilots. US Fighter pilot training also was much more focused after 1941 to give the US pilots more flight hours and strong training to understand how to dogfight not to mention the veteran rotation system where veterans were rotated out to teach new pilots and conserving the experience of the troops. The Zero is a great fighter and it made its mark but the Hellcat came to destroy its reputation and legacy to create its own. The Vought F4U Corsair is just a Hellcat but made to go faster so that's another story.

Great explaining, with easily understandable words and phrases!
I did this today in my 109..I have been playing a little over a year and I am very aggressive..too aggressive that I get killed usually after I make a kill because I try to keep up in turn fights with sharp turning fighters and can usually hold my own until they hang up on me..by witch time I'm all out of air speed and a sitting duck. I used your maneuver and found that they had trouble catching up to me witch let me bring the fight to him for the most part when I wanted...good video..served me well.

I like to Fly a Mix of USSR and UK crafts. Spitfires have great performance when it comes to furball / dog fighting. But in early / mid tiers they suffer with having a Float-Carburetor. And you can sometime trick them into killing their own engine by tricking them into a sudden maneuver downwards. It's sometime effective for killing their engines making them lose some momentum while they race to restart the engine. When it comes to me playing USSR craft, I generally try to keep some speed and occasionally do some light turn fighting with Landing flaps. But I avoid extended fights where I bleed a lot of energy. If I don't get the kill within a few shots, I often try to disengage and gain some speed / altitude and try again. USSR crafts are great in general performance and can get the job done well. But it takes certain flying / fighting styles to do well in any specific nation's craft. UK is good for aggressive fighting and maneuvering, while USSR is good for paced fighting that doesn't lead to drawn out dogfights. So spacing a fight timing is key to doing well. Similar can be said for US aircraft.
Love your vids bro, keep 'em coming, thanks!!!
Wow man! U play very well! Good to see it! Thanks from a Brazil player. The Spit boy must got furious😂😂😂

I find the F1's canon's terrible accuracy and low ammo for the 20 mm to suck. F4 is way better.
Nice, must been my request, of how to deal with spacefyres on the 6 above you. :) Reminds me of the jet age when you talk about speed - "too fast, too furious". You shouldn't turn right into his firing angle at 2:03 unless you really intend to dive some more and drag him to the deck. Could have pulled up and extend away instead and then set him up for a baiting trap of the rope a dope or chandele.
The best way to avoid being shot down in aerial combat......is the minute you arrive at your unit.....to inform you unit's commanding officer....that you have developed a fear of height's....and you suffer with motion sickness and you have no idea why you was sent to an aviation unit in the first place !
this helps me a lot even with the hunter thanks!
nice video! if u want to up the realism a bit try the bf109 k4 by dcs someday..you're gonna like it.
That was really helpfull thx mate !!
One of the best pilots ive seen 👍👍
watched your awesome video a dozen times. #ThankYou
I'm usually at a disadvantage because I only fly U.S. Navy aircraft, but when I get my nose on target I tag them and reset the engagement. This helps to dissuade persurers from continuing the fight with a damaged aircraft, but some pilots don't give up that easily. That's when having a wingman or situationally aware teammate close really helps to save my bacon if a bandit gets on my six at lower altitudes.
Solid vid👌🏻
Thanks for showing me that tactic, the spitfires always bother me when i'm in a turn battle
love the F4!
Thanks that helps, will try this....
nice video bro but that's probably the most unsightly sticker placement I've ever seen on a plane in WT
wow, incredible, it's basically to reset energy level. noice, I'll keep that trick in my bag :D thanks
Thank u I’m tired of being shitted on my Zeros and spitfires when I’m flying my FW 190
you're a very patient man, for someone who's playing a video game.
H0ly sh1t I pulled out this maneuver successfully with my E4 against a spitfire, I felt like pro man, hahaha
Good stuff
I’ve struggled with this a lot. I’ve done this exact maneuver before to get kills, but I never considered shadow climbing to set up the kill. I’m not extremely knowledgeable of planes but I can usually tell if they can our climb/turn me pretty quick. Energy retention comparison is out of my league lol. Getting stuck in a non stop chase has been a game ended for me a lot. If I didn’t die I usually barley gapped people and had to run to base.
Nice. Need more
been using this in arcade and won a kill, and scared off another. real good stuff just started using it today it happened just like you show.
The spit does not have good energy retention so I recommend doing a drawn out dogfight with the spit until its slow enough to where you can kill it while in your bf-109
Very nice, textbook example
The MAN!
that was goooood
so satisfying
Thanks mate
Fantastic.
So that’s how you get far enough away to start an energy fight Thanks
noice!
I usually don't have to deal with this because I play bombers (yes, even at mid tier) and just superglue myself to the next strategic bomber I can find.
Would love to fly with you. I think I may have flown against you before. I'm getting better watching these videos
I wanna add one more thing. If you play with a joystick you can make a big climbing turn and the spit is losing horribly. The spit loses so much energy compared to a bf. It doesn't really work with mouse because the instructor kills your energy with excessive rudder
It's always worked for me however in cloudy sky a good opponent can figure you out how to disappear and sneak up on you eventually. It works every time against A. I.
omg that was awesome. l love bf 109 f4 and g2 but I'm not a good pilot.

Meanwhile me whenever I encounter a spitfire: *hammerhead*
how about P-47M? how to deal with this cancer? airspawn, in high alt everytime, deadly weapon of the wallet warriors... we meet them in G/K series
Note to Spitfire's, if a 109 dives to the deck dont chase him, he will then focus you and shallow climb like shown here. Pull of ans keep an eye on him. He might end up fighting someone else on the deck, loosing his speed from his dive, and not having altitude to regain it. Then dive in and gank him
The Lesson here is... Learn your plane's pros and cons, and be smarter than the guy who's trying to kill you.

Max Súarez Müller Mainly because it takes forever for them to get stuff, and that you only have like 1 respawn just 3 in arcade. For new players this is a bit much. I wish Arcade had unlimited spawns and was basically a TDM. Then people could get more RP and skill in the game and not only get few chances in Arcade mode which isn’t realistic.

me: tries to do this at high speeds my piloy:fuck this im blacking out
I have a problem with this : You make him follow your high speed vertiacal loops till he bleeds more energy. Then climb a bit and attack from higher energy state.Classic Bf 109 strategy. BUT what if he does not follow your steep fast dive at 2:12 ??? What if he follows you from higher altitude while you are committed to the dive and rapidly losing your energy? What if he chases you from above in his faster plane (Spitfire LF mk9) using very shallow dive? Then... then you are dead (in 1v1 situation). Diving to the deck vs a good Spitfire pilot is rarely a good idea.
Even when I do this I am always bested by yaks
Like a boss
The only problem with this tactic is that when doing the high yo-yo, a good Pilot will see this and disengage, wait for you to get on their tail and then get you in a turning engagement you can't win.

Say you're in a BoomNZoom plane and the turn fighter on your 6 is a 109. Would the shallow climb still work for you or would the 109 have the advantage since it has a faster climb rate than most BoomNZooms?
