    1. signal the end, say ”in conclusion” 2. concisely recap the key idea 3. call to action - make sure it is a clear, logical, and easy first step to take 4. clincher, end ”on a high note” - echo the opening

I used to work as a public speaking tutor at a community college. These are some of the best videos I’ve seen in terms of speech advice. It’s cool how you model the video itself around the very tips that you are giving! Awesome and thanks for the great content

Number 3 is so important. Not just for a speech, but any piece of content, video, or live stream. I know this. And yet, I sometimes at the moment, I forget. Got to drill this in. Love the point in #4 that it shows you knew where you were going all along.

Big time fan, Alex. I’ve been wanting to know if a Call to Action also makes sense for purely informative presentations?

  • @alexanderlyon

Hi, Richard. Yes, you can use a CTA for an informative speech if it fits the topic. For example, many How-To speeches are informative where you'd teach your audience to do something. Your CTA could be to get them to commit to following through and doing it. Teachers, for example, are frequently using calls to action at end of a lesson that show the next steps they'd like students to take.
