Please explain to a friend, I have an xbox 1.1 and a sharp chip... I need to bridge the points r7d3 on the top side and r7r3 on the bottom.. plus put a jumper wire... right? what bios should i use the one that is non windbond or special for sharp 1mb?

I tried all I could and just could not get the solder to actually stick to the board. No matter what I did. I had a glob big enough that it was actually able to be pulled off with tweezers, but it just would NOT stick at all. And not only that, but it ended up removing the flipping solder from one of those tiny pinholes. AND somehow, no idea how, the capacitor right under? Yeah went missing. I don't even understand that. I had it under a magnifying glass the entire time.

The clock capacitor holds the time for 6 hours of no power, the system clock can't be relied on anyway so there's no need for it

Got red light when I boot the console after removing the capacitor, any idea?

You probably have a 1.6 version console which won’t work without the clock capacitor. You only need to remove it from versions 1.1-1.5, they fixed it for the 1.6 revision.

Yeah, I should have used needle nose pillars, but couldn't find them. Ended up just wiggling it off and went over the whole board with IPA anyway.

So the clock capacitor removal should solve the screen flickering?
