Nice review. Clear and straight forward. No distracting music. Thumbs up from me. :) I'm a video editing beginner. I'm looking for a relatively small editor that I can use to simply cut 1 hour videos down into several 3 to 5 minute videos. Our band records rehearsals and gigs (>1 hour videos from multiple camera angles) and I want to edit individual songs. I have Pinnacle as my primary editing app but to break the songs out individually seems to take a very long and complicated process. Can I load 1 camera movie into VideoProc, highlight a section then do a save as to a new (smaller) movie? I'd then be able to load these smaller and much more manageable 'song' videos into Pinnacle. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Your description of the "cutting" function is incorrect. The segment between the 2 green sliders is what will be kept. The rest of the video will be deleted. You can however specify multiple segments to be cut. So, if you want to delete a short segment in the middle, you can specify 2 edits using the sliders - one before the segment you want to delete and one after. Adding these 2 segments to the edit list in the proper order will result in a video without the segment you don't want.

Hi I noticed while you were editing your video it was skipping. Mine does the same thing. Any clue how to get that to stop. I’ve been burning my DVD’s and every time I try editing the video it just skips. Not the actual file it downloads that just fine. It’s just during the editing.

i just downloaded it to my mac. but when i open it i can not clic on anything so i cant imort the video by clicking the plus and i dont understand how i can drag and drop a video file onto it. What have i done wrong?

This is what they just told me: VideoProcConverter 15 minutes ago "Note taken. VideoProc Converter does not currently support enlarging the screen, however, that is something we plan to offer in the future."

What was the resolution of your original file?

Capable software, but the nagging popups make using it extremely annoying. The popups have a link that says, "Don't show this again", but it doesn't work - the popups continue to appear every time you run the app. For this reason, I don't recommend this app.

Really, this video should be changed to "How to easily process videos" not "edit videos". That's what all the codecs are for, and it's good for re-encoding videos to a different format or file size. BUT DO NOT BUY THIS AS A VIDEO EDITOR. Even KZread's native video editor has more functionality. You can't even add music for crying out loud. Their own website tells you to go do it with Windows 10 Movie Editor, no joke. If I wanted to use a free Windows app, I wouldn't have bothered with Videoproc. Also, I swear even Sony Vegas isn't any harder to learn. So pass on this one as a video editor. Haaaard pass.
