A truly simple solution .... many versions are available, some going to 8 or more inputs. Just one suggestion ... open the case and clean and lubricate the switches for better contact and longer life.

One thing you have to watch out for with these is signal bleed between the inputs, it's a pretty common problem with cheaper ones. The test is to turn on two sources and turn the volume up while pausing the source that's selected.....if you hear the other source you have a problem. I have a Cubilux 4 RCA input rotary switch unit and it works pretty well, it was about $35. Very solidly built. They make a mini pin input one that isn't quite so good so beware.

you could also get a vintage graphic equalizer with tape loops and input selector, such as the audiosource EQ eleven as an example, you could add 4 inputs with this EQ.

For DIYers a DPDT toggle switch can be wired up in a box as a selector for two units.

Yep ... an excellent beginner project.

Just rub some "Goo Gone" on the residue spots and it will look as good as new! I just ordered a selector too. I'll make a review video once it comes in. Nice come up on that for $5!

Bellari audio has a 100 dollar passive preamp that introduces no distortion that I can tell unlike the cheap ones. 4 inputs. US company out or Utah that sells on Amazon... great under the radar company. I also have their eq which is fantastic.

@@ForeverAnalog just a note, it's the pp532 passive preamp. They have one or two others on Amazon.

From a certain large online store named after a South American rainforest or mythical all-female warrior tribe (Get it?), one can buy new 8 IN/1 OUT or even 8 IN/2 OUT RCA switchers for between $19.99 and $26.99 (often with coupons or multi-purchase discounts), so they're pretty handy for connecting multiple audio (and video) devices when dealing with only one set of inputs on the back of amps by Fosi Audio, Aiyima, Douk Audio, etc. One can always affix labels above the buttons in front to know precisely which device is connected where. :)

I've had one of these for decades. I have even seen one of these on Amazon with remote control switching.

Sure those were fun , there are a few on Amazon that are okay and pass sound. Look some are around $12-$40 Amazon make you search hard they don't pop up right away But I don't let anything get between me and my 15x12 foot intense Soundstage. Radio Shack was my first Sales job

Yes you can do this but why? Why won't FOSI, ayima Douk make a decent pre amp with 2 or 3 RCA ins. This is why I haven't bought into the mini ChiFi products. Fosi tried with the P3 but it does not have enough inputs and it has tubes. I want a SS pre.

@@ForeverAnalog These ChiFi amps are becoming a dime a dozen, I applaud FOSI, DOUK and the like for creating affordable HIFI but if they are going to be in the HIFI game than they need to make a HIFI preamp with more than 1 RCA in put. Look at SCHIIT, you can get a pre amp a power amp a phono pre amp a dac and most of them are THE SAME SIZE so you can create a nice little pile of SCHIIT. HAHA. Anyway great videos, keep it up.
