Hi thank you for your video! I’m looking to dye mine black & add a plant in it. I’m a little nervous about the dye getting wet and staining the wall. Would that happen? Is there is a way prevent that

I highly doubt you would have a problem with that but I don't know for sure. I've never gotten my cord wet after dying.

Does this shrink the cord?

No, this doesn't cause the cord to shrink.

Can this process be done on a plant hanger already made?

I've never done that but I think it would work. If I was going to try that I would soak the plant hanger for a long time in the water and the dye.

Would scarlet red work better than dark brown?

That would make the color completely different but I'm sure it would be pretty.

Why add dishes detergent?

Is it fabric dye that you're using?

Yes its called Rit and works great on cotton cord

Can the dye be put in a container and be heated and reused. . Thanks

Yes, the cord that I used was cotton.
