How To Dunk UNDER 6 feet | 3 Tips to Jump Higher!
Спорт
How to dunk under 6 feet tall? In this video I (Khurram Sultan) give my 3 tips on what to focus on before you start your vertical jump training!
Being able to dunk at 5"10 was something that was very challenging and took a lot of effort and time! I used to search up how to dunk under 6 feet tall and would somewhat be left confused on where to start and what to focus on! Hopefully with this video you have some clarity and find some value!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I'm currently fasting during Ramadan and have been spending my free time making video's from 12am-3am!
On the road to 10k! Help me out by sharing this video and helping it get seen!

1/ Lose weight 2/ Train more for explosiveness, less for endurance 3/ Focus on 'triple extension' - hips, knees, ankles. Improve any weak areas in any of those and develop strength and speed. Pretty much common sense. Comment if you want to see a series to help with this. Or don't comment, the series will be coming either way no doubt.

Thank you for taking my question. I enjoy your work and was hoping you might be willing to offer guidance from your perspective. I am 51. My desire is to improve my vertical jump. I am a 6’6” dunker/hooper who has been grounded due to weight gain and knee pain. My knee pain has decreased considerably, but I feel like I’m back in 9th grade trying to dunk happy to slap the glass. How often would you recommend I train legs? What kinds of exercises and frequency? I have been training with deadlifts and calves at least twice a week.

@@itsksultan Hey late. I know and know disrespect, I'm just a nobody on this amazing platform nameth the world wide web. My question if you see this though is why seek guidance from him and not a doctor? Which I'm assuming you have since you know you have said problem and you said you're grounded. If it wasn't a surgical problem, you know take your preventative measures and work with the physical therapist(yeah I know-i don't care much for em either) but in some situations they are very useful. Like I said I mean no disrespect. Our bodies, there are temples and we got to preserve them. There's some really advanced treatments/modalities that can help and improve pain, functionality/ROM etc.....even repair(that aren't surgical)& really I guess what I'm saying is reflect n' match with how you feel on the inside. Like that 9th grade high schooler, ready to go out there and bang on some rims and sink some shots man. And again, I mean no disrespect, no tramping on toes and getting in your business. So if out of line; my apologies and all the best.

yes fat is a hold down. but from my experience when I was 13 and 210 at 6’0. i was able to dunk pretty well. I was squatting 315. it’s all about the power going thru your legs. although it I would’ve been 160 at 6’0 or even 170 I would’ve been flying looking back at it.

Hi! Appreciate your vid! I am 14 yo and 6'1 and have a 26 inch vertical. It feels amazing because before i could barely get my feet off the ground. But now I feel like I can't improve this. Any tips?

You need to start lifting heavier, if you don't have weights to lift with then try pausing at the bottom of your reps then explode to gain some more explosiveness. Assuming you don't have weights and you have a backpack you can put as many textbooks in your backpack as you can, then tighten the straps a bit so it doesn't move around a lot when you have it on, then do lunge variations with it on. This will help you a lot if you don't already have weights. Try to do legs around two days a week and always stretch beforehand. Remember you wanna be exploding, so if you can do pause reps with the backpack on then do it, if not then just keep working out until you can pause it eventually, you'll start to jump higher.

@@XENOX-777 as you read, he is 14 years old. You suggested him to start weight lifting but all the trainers in my team say that weight lifting before 18 years old reduces height gain which sucks

I’m 6’2. I have a high vertical and I know I could definitely dunk when I was 5’11. I was able to rimgraze and lightly dunk the ball. But what are some tips I can use to get the right footing so I can slam it in there? I always seem to come up short when it comes to get high and slamming even though I have the vert

King Kuto17 I take one huge step then jump while accelerating this helped me dunk and I’m 5’7. It’s all about the arms swinging u up and getting the right footing

eat in a calorie deficit, you can use an app like myfitnesspal to track your calories and see how many youll need to eat in a day, for me, im 6'2 and 165lbs, to lose 1lbs a week i need to eat only 1800 calories in a day, but i can eat more if i do exercise too, so if i do an hour of walking and half an hour o running i could probably eat like 2300-2500 in a day, and id still lose weight at the same rate

Do what Mtg Might said. Also, a helpful tip is to cut out juice, soda, and alcohol - drink only water. You’ll be surprised how many calories come from drinks alone.

Khristian Kim facts drinks are just empty calories that are easy to take, also don’t eat food that doesn’t get you fill like potato chips you can eat tons of those and they give so many calories.

Hieratus doubt ur 5 percent nba players aren’t even 5 and they train and live healthy. Also body builders are usually that level once they in competition and they can see each individual muscle strand at that level
