HOW TO:- DRZ400E Carburettor Hose Rerouting Raising The Water Crossing Height Free Modification

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Suzuki DRZ400E has one slight flaw when it comes to water crossings. Anything higher than footpeg level they will stall out and leave you stranded. We discuss why and then walk through how to remedy.

Hey Buddy, great job well done. Near the end of the Video Your friend was talking about the bigger 15T front sprocket - couldn't fit it because of clearance issues with the case guard. I have done this successfully using an OEM 15T sprocket and the case/chain guard from the SM model. Works perfectly!

Nice vid. I've found with the water crossings that you can go deep but not for long without stalling. A friend of mine said with the FCR carby, run 1/2 the hoses up & leave 1!2 down.

So @ 2:45 , there are two hoses that are running down the left hand side of the carb from the factory. The goal is to re-route BOTH of those hoses correct? Right side one is pulled back through to the right side and routed upward, and left side one is routed up the left side. Leaving both Tee fittings as they are, did I get that correct? Seems like the left hand one (with tee under the TPS sensor wire) might have to make a 180deg U bend? Is pinching an issue here? might be good to warn/describe?

There is another way of doing this, you can add a tee piece into the existing fuel line and run another tube from the tee into the air filter. The advantage of this is that u can leave existing lines and when fuel overflows it will still drain as usual...

Hi Truth Saw, for attilio it came down to quality and reliability in which the SWM was lacking. If you look at an earlier video on the channel I had a test ride and walk around. For reliability and quality can't go past the DRZ. The SWM is good bang for buck but may not be the best long term purchase
