Thanks. The prior home owner did some very bad patches on a stairwell landing wall that's curved and I was going to hire someone to replace the drywall. Never thought of using multiple layers. I'll try it myself first. Thanks for saving me $$, although I'm sure there will be some swearing involved. 😆

The easiest way to do curved walls is to lightly damp the back of it and incline it like you did. It will quickly dry and stay formed to that incline. -Experienced Drywaller whos shadowed my grandfather til this day of 40 some odd years of drywalling

Real solid videos & techniques shown throughout. Definitely wet the 1/4 inch sheets with a sponge to make that curve...man that's an old router though lol

I never use nails on sheetrock, after 20-30 years of moisture nails rusts making red spots. I work in NY where weather goes from one extreme to another. Screws is the only way to go The same happens with paper tape popping up, use mesh tape only.

mesh tape is really bad to use. paper tape is by far the best! Cracks never appear

I been using screw 30 years now and had to fight others to use it all want to use nails if ur contractor refuses to use screw don't hire them

If I had flexible drywall, I wouldn't be looking on KZread for help with bending flexible drywall. Kinda exactly what you don't need.
