The last tip is a must. On my local track there's this double left corner that I had to slightly brake to hit both apexes. The guy in front of me just took the widest line, always on th throttle, not caring about the first apex. He was much faster than any of us. Lesson learnt, and now validated by a pro!

Big yes to the aggressive steering on entry. Coming from sim, I was used to being as smooth as possible, but with rental karts, the only thing I was getting in return was heaps of understeer.

Yeah since Rental karting are most likely using the same karts as they use for when they let people drive them, and sometimes they dont change the tires often which they feel sloppy

I've discovered the last tip in one of the hardest corners in my last race and it made a huge different on my laps, gained 3 positions after this, if I started doing this since the qualys, would be a much different race. Thanks for the awesome tips as always

I have found that if you can slow down by drifting the four wheels on corner entry instead of braking,it helps too to keep the revs up on exit.

1:52 depending on the track, specially in indoortracks with narrow/close corners (U Turn) it could be interesting to lock up and turn the kart that way, to keep your front wheels straight keeping the momentum. At the same time 4T engine give their max torque at low RP so it s a win win. I m not saying to lock up for seconds, it s fraction of seconds. Like we used with old 2T karts back in the days (late 80'-early 90'). Totally agree on the aggressive input. The weight and bad tyres need this kind of approach. And to stay on power, some new generation kart have a cut off system that basically allow you to stay full throttle all the time, just using the brake to slow down a bit. It s a little bit counter intuitive but you can gain lot of acceleration with this technique.

Normally while cornering do you brake till the apex or release the brake when reaching the apex then only accelerate?

For rentals on slicks? Or for pro karts with more options? My experience in the former is: Brake gently and early- lock ups will spin you. 1. Don't over brake. You will spin. 2. You want to use acceleration to turn in the kart but it's gonna feel scary at first and counterintuitive. Like driving on sandy beaches. Power through. 3. Don't run the usual line. That grippy part with all the rubber is now enemy #1. You want to cross that line going as straight as possible because there is zero grip on it in the wet. 4. Avoid puddles they slow you and can kill the engine. 5. Overtakes are dicey. Do it where you know you have better exit speed or if you're 💯 that you have more grip in a corner. 6. Watch for drying parts of the track. As it dries you can experiment and find tons of time there. Hope that helps!

going flat out might make you lose a lot of rpm, break tapping and sharp turning on the other hand gives you more grip on the corner and a better exit going flat out makes the kart slide and you lose a lot of speed, while if you break and turn you can get on the power harder and no slide making the rpms go up instead of down throughout the corner

i race rentals all the time one tip for really sharp hairpins is to use the brake to turn. Just smash it until it starts to slide a bit then smash the throttle and you will have a monster exist.

How do i win a race, when everyone in the championship is dirty af, and then for some reason i am given penalities for accidents where i was miles away. But ofc they give to me cause i am the poorest one who uses promotions and deals and sponsors to race in the championship. And I have been taken away from 6 top 5 finishes and 3 podiums form these dirty drivers and unfair penalties
