I am from Meghalaya and glad I found your channel. I don't drink here but I love drinking alcohol mainly beers and cocktails in Kolkata, I've been to most big cities in the country but Kolkata beers/cocktails are the best it just hit different. My body can't tolerate whiskey though. I'll be in Kolkata this Sunday for the 3rd time and looking forward to try the inexpensive bars again. Last year I went to Shaw bar in Esplanade and they did not allow me to enter because I was wearing shorts, its ridiculous. I had visited Olypub, Raasta, Hoppipola, Ashoka bar, Opium Bar & Restaurant and Manthan. Can't wait to be back there and maybe try out other bars too especially during happy hours and visiting parts of the city/suburbs that I had not explored. Cheers 🥂

I think you need to tap the bottle from the bottom, so that it unscrews properly otherwise like what happened it will keep rotating the cap. These are some really great tips. Thank you for sharing.

I am recommending another methord,onse or twise can use this methord and it will be different feelings can find.Take 30 ml rum and just pore in to your mouth keep it as it is in mouth one minute,that is differt feel and after 2 minutes just sollon the rum,that is another different feel., while doing this close your eye for getting good feel( with in 2 minute our saliva will mix with rum) Try and enjoy the feelings,

Very nice video talk. I drink little beer or wine during weekend with starters or food for good health n digestion. Drinking good whiskey Chivas Regal or Johny walker gold label or green label extra one peg with ice n water during Christmas or Easter or festivals only with starters or food. Rum I tske little Bacardi Rum during festival only 1 peg with lime, lime with food. I will try little old monk Rum once month little. Thank for good suggestions. Keep good work n suggestions. I have always used old monk rum in high altitude area with hot water. But that time it was so nice and tasty and it's taste has been changed by the company and it is not so like early. However I am fond of this brand being a good one. Thanks dada

Since some of my friends are from Jamaica, ( yeh man) I am accustomed to drink rum and whisky straight ( no mixing of water or soda) at room temperature with slice of Lemon. Only once in a fortnight a maximum of 30 ml I take. I really enjoy the taste of Oldmonk Aged Rum. And single malt whisky 🥃

Sharing my personal experience neat old monk taste good to my patlet its unique Sweet as well as hard with pinch of vanilla I usually take it with spicy food (non veg) as well as salad which helps me hydrated I drink lot of water after peg And all is good I am underweight so eating much is not an issue during session find your healthy way.Drink responsibly ✌️ One Love ❤️

I drink occassionally but I have observed that their has been a gradual rise in old monk drinkers... I also take it because of my friend. But I never tried adding lemon. We just add normal water... pretty excited to try this trick next time.

you have to put ice, ice is better than water when it comes to alcohol, it chills and dilutes slowly and also the cold temperature takes the sting off a bit. Only in India we think ice is unhealthy which is strange, it is not. you dont get sick because of ice unless you are using bad water to make the ice. Nice video though very helpful.

I gone through this episode...Nice explanation...But Occasionally i prefer to alcohol...In my previous experience i used to mix rum with only water...But it stinks like festicidal smell...So with that bad experience i put full stop to drink it...But with this episode I prefer to drink with these combination...Hay to XXX RUM lovers...👌💐

Dada! this is my first time I have seen your video clip how to drink, it is really knowledgeable the way you told how to drink old monk. You know before seeing you video I was in dilemma whether to drink it soda, water, ice, or even hot water. But after seeing this the fantastic way you guided..cheers dadal

I drink this the same way. Lime slice, monk, Coke, ice and water. One change though. I usually squeeze 2 to 3 drops of lime and then put that slice first in empty glass and thr I pour rum in the glass, then ice, Coke and water 🙂

Thanks for the vedieo. I am a Keralite settled in Delhi for the last 45 years ( now aged 68 ). I used to drink occasionally for more than 40 years, without any health issues. I used to drink only whisky in the summer seasons and Rum ( mostly Old Monk ) during severe winter weather. I used to drink rum with water in winter. Never uses ice or soda. While drinking Whisky, I uses ice, soda and cold water. I tasted old Monk for the first time in Delhi with my youngest brother-in-law who was in the IAF and I stayed with him in the Air force quarters. Self-controlled drinking is not injurious to health as I am a living example of that.

60 ml old monk or Mc rum with about 20-30 ml appy fizz and water couple of ice cubes standard drink for last 14 years tried and tested many combinations even the ones you have said in the video but this has been the best in my experience . Any one can try but appy fizz less thei better actually if u see its less than half of the original drink otherwise it makes it too sweet. cheersss

Old Monk Toddy : . Take 3/4th glass of HOT water. add 2 inch Cinnamon Stick, 1 small Star Anis ( Can skip if not available), 2/3 Black Pepper seeds, slice of Lime. Mix well and let it rest for 2/3 mins. Add 60 ml Old Monk Rum.
