If you are looking for flush look, its very important to drill further or get smaller screws . In our case being a workplace area we were looking for the rustic industrial look 😂🤣🚛🚛 You can also use screws of different color, which nowadays cement screws come in several colors. Good luck!! Love this channel oh my gosh

You left the screw heads about an 1/8” above the threshold strip. Was this intentional or are you not able to screw these down until flush? I’m struggling with the damn tapcon masonry bit just turning the cinderblock to powder so much so that the screw just sit and turn loosely in the hole and can be wiggled out with my fingers without unscrewing them. I even tried using one size smaller masonry but from another Tapcon kit but the screw doesn’t drive into the hole it just turns the sides to powder and then sits loosely in the hole again. The construction in Miami from the 70’s is absolute garbage. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The problems your concrete is 50 years old. If it were either 80 or new your okay, just things age and they don't make em like they used to both comes to play

Use an anchor then screw into the anchor

We just lane changed from cement to how to create a danger hazzard in one the busiest areas of the home. Meticulous as heck about the dust and screw depth then leaving the heads high like that was not regular.

looks like the wrong screw for the job. Drilling technique guess it's fine but the end result not so much.

Any advice on drilling straight? I’m trying to mount a wood wood rack in my garage with a hammer drill and concrete anchors but I’ve tried twice now, I need three anchors for each bracket and if even one isn’t perfectly straight the anchors will hit the inside of the metal bracket and I can’t get the holes to line up. Now I have six concrete anchors in my wall I’m going to have to cut. 🥹 I don’t want to try again until I have a hack for drilling straight though.
