Another fantastic tutorial Darlene. Thank you so much! What I love about your videos is that you don't waste any time with excess talking. Your videos are to the point, detailed, instructive. I love the way you break down a seemingly overwhelming photo. I am trying to draw mushrooms and I want the ridges on the underside of the caps to have depth and I'm sure that this video is just what I need to get the contours and angles look good.

I've watched this entire thing and never in my life had I drawn outside of school, can't believe the difference after just a few steps and how effective these techniques are.

Amazing artist and amazing teacher. On youtube there are many artists who just show you their drawing technique but you my Dear are a teacher. I am a retired educator having taught at the university level too. Thank you for the work you but into your videos and your sharing spirit to really teach.

Absolutely amazing tutorial, incredibly detailed and explaining every detail, the why’s and where’s. there is one thing however that really bugs me and I wish KZread would sort it out. I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would give a professional detailed tutorial such as this a thumbs down. I think it is too easy for certain people who are just negative by nature to leave a thumbs down and whilst some content providers don’t really care about thumbs downs, I think KZread should make people leaving a thumbs down also leave a reason why. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, however I really think people leaving a video like this a thumbs down should certainly. Have to explain why they did it, even if the reason is “because I wanted to” that way others can assume that the thumbs down was left out of nothing other than spite and therefore complete discount it. I absolutely loved this video and learnt so much from it, thank you so much, I know exactly how much time goes into editing a simple video so a video like this will have taken twice as long not to mention the actual art work. Amazing.
