* Faber Castell Pitt Pencils, Carbothello Pastel Pencils, Derwent Pastel Pencils and Caran D'ache Pastel Pencils. Rembrandt soft pastel sticks for the background. Sofft Tools for blending. on Pastelmat paper.

Great tips! I just started with pastels a few months ago. The first thing noticed is how easily they smudge! What do you do with your drawings after you finish them?

Thank you =). I have a video here on KZread about smudging which may be useful. I always use glassine to keep them protected and when they're finished if they're being shipped I then always wrap them in glassine, mount/matte them and then tell clients to frame them. Once framed behind glass they're protected. Whilst drawing I always have a sheet of glassine under my hand to stop smudging to =)
