That’s fantastic!! I am doing my first steps in the leaves drawing I am obsessed I have reed in the comments and I found the links what’s I don’t know is if first I have to use HB and then switched to what? If you can help me with that! Thanks for sharing is a wonderful tutorial I wish you could do more on leaves 🙏

I’m sorry for the late reply but yes, always start your drawing with the lighter pencil number (2H, HB) and then once you’re starting to add details, you could switch out to darker pencil to shade darker areas

thanks this is so helpful!!! I am a beginner so will ask a beginner question...this is the back side/underside of the leaf right? what creates the difference in the upside and underside of leaf drawing?

Yes, you are right this is the backside of the leaf and the reason why is because you can see the midrib and the vein of the leaf. You will only be able to see those from the back.
