half of the ribs would be human meat. so cannibalism. and i think eating horse meat is illegal in some countries. so i dont think they would go extinct for that reason.

if you gave a centaur an exoskeleton rather than bones, would it then theoretically qualify as an insect?

The moment I saw the skeleton of a Centaur, I realized horror has been missing out on a great opportunity to make a horrific monster

I love y'alls videos and they're incredibly helpful, Im mostly a dragon artist, but I cant ever get the anatomy right (Especially when drawing human positions for ex : criss cross sitting, kneeling, or standing on their hign two legs) It'd be helpful if you guys could do a video on that next! Since we got a little scientific, how would a Centaur's organs work? Would they have two sets of lungs, two hearts and two digestive sestems?

Exactly what im wondering now too. Theres a lot of anatomy/skeletal structure type videos when it comes to creature design, but not a lot of anatomy regarding organs. Which i wish there was more of. The functionality of anatomy is what i use to design my characters/creatures.

They could be like cows with multiple stomachs in order to digest things easier Seeing how it's still half animal, the human half would have to limit the types of food ate unless they want to get sick

Then again the heart could be moved to the stomach organs shift down to the animal half with ribs to protect it more (and structural reasons) and the lungs are where they're supposed to be in the human half

@@Vivster- then everything inside of human half is just lungs bc horses have big lungs and we have small there's no way horse's body will work with human lungs, so... i guess everything except lungs goes in horse part? it makes some sense actually

My favorite images on this topic state that "human" part holds two giant lungs, big heart and stomach for "human food". While "horse" part hold all that infrastructure needed for digesting "horse food", second big heart and gender based organs. (But I still cant find a good answer to if female centaurs have a sensible reason to have human-like beasts, so I'll just take them breast'less.)

Two ribcages? Do they have two hearts? Where do they breathe from, horse body or human body?? Where are their lungs?
