Yes. He clearly has a flood on his hands. Time to call Serv-Pro.
damn this was more than a whole decade ago what a bloody legend
Brilliant! You saved me waiting for a drain plug thinking I wouldn't be able to drain it if I built it... now I'll go ahead and build it with this info knowing I can use a fill port and some gravity. Thank you sir! 🙏

Cannot believe it has been 12 years! Still works.
Who else saw more draining out at the end? haha
I pierced a radiator with a screw. Thanks for the helpful video.
Hahaha at the end, just before the video cuts more water comes out
Thank you . Your video was the most helpful one i have found
i love the pump ras set up in this one! i might make a system like this because of that pump ras set up!
Thanks for the video mate, my water cooling set up would be a nightmare to drain and I never thought of doing this.
Nice video man. Really helpful on explaining draining.
the best way to do this is to just take everything loose with a drill and sledge.. it worked so far! :D
Thanks a lot man! and I chuckled at the end lol.
cheers, thanks for your help!
You’re a legend thank you for this
Thanks! Your making me want to build my own loop :D
Thanks for this
WOW! Thanks,! i never knew it was that easy
Awesome video my firend! Many thanks!
CPU stays nie and cool (around 40) and the GPU I have is a EVGA 560TI 448 FTW and it gets to around 77 on big games like BF3. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me the advice. KZread (and the world) is so full of hateful jerks so a nice person is a rarity. I had already considered uping the fan, and the cooling I will monitor. If you ever get an alienware I will say they are very nice, and ebay got me a killer deal, but the tech support is non exsistant! Much respect!
Nice video, it helps to have these. thankyou
@FracturedShadows I have XSPC H1 and method works just fine, although you need some space around.
Great! thanx man! :)
thank you
I designed my loop so my reservoir can be detached and tilted upside down. It starts a flow that allows me to drain via the siphon effect. When the siphon effect is complete there is a small amount remaining, just beyond the pump, and sometimes a little left in the radiator, though that is rarely an issue. --The loon
I like how you fast stoped the video at the end bacause of the water cx
good stuff, 5 stars!!!
@BKsMassive there is no coolant here in the Philippines but theirs an drinkable distilled water here
Nice quick little vid! 5*
Two things affect your cooling: radiator size and speed of your cooling fans. IMHO: Dual rad with 1800+ rpm fans will work just fine for you.
@thisisyaren Yes of course, proper loop design is the best way. My silent sniper build drains in minute without touching the case.
Thanks for the info. You were right it is for the CPU only, but like I said I am new to the liquid cooling. What does a closed loop look like? If you google the ALX alienware liquid cooling mine looks just like the images shown of the two black tubes going to and from the CPU. Thanks again!
It is still doable, but little awkward with my 800D and 700D cases, but after I will build my XSPC H1 case that may be a real challenge to flip it with three triple rads. :))
For one I love tha silver tubing.. but I'm curious..is there any such silver type liquid coolant out yet?
I use a quick connect on mine for this! I can change colors of liquid as simple as switching them out. but this is a good video thanks for sharring

I have never installed a custom loop before even though i do have one in my pc, but I think im ready to add the goo on my next build! Are there any companies that you would recommend as for the pump and parts..? I do want clear tubing and i think i will uv light it also I have the green sniper MB so black and grean are my two options but that might be overkill on green so im also thinking about neon yellow

Mike Mays Hey, I'm building my first loop by ordering a complete water cooling set from alpha cool as well as an EK GPU block. The only part I'm confused about is the quick disconnect or drain valve. I want one that I can use to be able to drain my system easily. I'm confused about which one to order because they say like male\make or female and they require other components to work. Could you suggest what I should buy for easy draining of my loop? Like I said I have the whole loop picked out except the drain valve or quick disconnect, whichever you think is better.

Oh man I wish I could help you out but we are in the middle of a move and I don't have access to all the pc stuff. There are a ton of ways to do what you are wanting. I have a female end on my drain outlet that works like a air hose I just plug the male end into it and the male end has about 2 feet of hose and I have a cut off valve installed on the end of the hose to avoid any spillage. Only thing I have to watch is when I unplug.

Mike Mays The confusing part is most the drain valve's don't work just by themselves. You have to add like a T splitter on them too. I'm thinking I'll just buy a Koolance quick disconnect and put it on my lower point component. From there I can disconnect the tubes without spilling, put the tube over a bucket, and remove the quick disconnect so the water flows out into the bucket. I'll probably also order one of these T-Blocks which as three holes, two of the water to flow through and a third for a plugged drain port to be installed. I'm sure the components will make more sense once their in my hands.
Any one see that's my water then a big stream came out the tube on the floor.

Yeah right when he turned around hahaha
you have an ETA on the new gtx 680 waterblocks? or any other words/thoughts
Omg, I laughed so damn hard at the end. "That's it, there's my water!" ... Tube: "Youforgotsome-BLEEUGH!@" XD
@DazMode how could you empty you loop with a bay mounted Resivoir?
So no damage would occure if I used the pump to bleed the system correct? Also you sell the external 12v & 5V DC power supplies on your site correct?
I use Fluid XP ultra and you guys should too its non conductive and it also doesnt corrode just look it up, you guys wont be dissapointed
seems fairly easy to me =)
what size radiator should i use to cool 2 ati hd 5850s and 1 mildly over clocked core i5 cpu??
Do you have to open the fill port (if on top of the case) to let the water drain out your drain tube (if on the bottom of the case)? Otherwise wouldn't a vacuum form lessening the ability to drain the system?
where do i get a tube like that?
lmao...try the 'Easy Tilt Way' on a Xaser VI LCS and let us know :P The easiest way out is having the reservoir mounted at the highest point, and using suction pressure through a pipe inserted to the resoirvoir to drain it out.
i like ur computer..
yes, of cause. Many people do that.
Could you make a video to show what your loop looks like?
how often do you need to do this?
IN THE BACKGROUND a logitech g5 rev. 2 ♥ BEST MOUSE EVER♥
@Bob8673 lol i saw that too.
(part 2) if you then realize its going to higher temps than before, you should either buy another one, or try to unassemble it yourself and replace the coolant and maybe try to get the cpu block rinsed, but i can say that it should take a VERY long time before that is needed. Also, i dont know how good the fans are on the alienware cpu RAD, but i recomend upgrading if your temps get above 70C, because the LAST thing you would want is for liquid to boil in a closed environment
so can i use drinkable distilled water for my pc??
Could I just put a pipe in the fill port at the top and run the loop?
well im not sure if thats the right term for it, what i mean is that the cooling system is manufactured and comes set up stock, kind of like the corsair H-50/70/90 liquid cooling systems, you just buy them, they come set up, you just have to install them and never worry about them again. im sure that EVENTUALLY, the performance will dwindle little by little, and when you begin to notice that your CPU is overheating (if you dont monitor your temps, i HIGHLY recomend you start doing so)
haha you try doing that with my case! ive got the zalman gs1000 se and it weighs the same as a small car!! LOOL :P
the only thing about that is the noise, is it possible to have a 240mm radiator and a 120mm radiator in the same loop? but separately.
The lid on my res leaks so if i tip it water comes out so i dont know wehat to do!
nice mouse! g5 still the best ♥
I have one question...I have a alienware i7 aurora and the liquid cooling system is differnet looking than yours. I am new to liquid cooling so I just am wondering how the heck to get the tubes loose without damaging my system. Any ideas?
i lol'd at that
What about when you have a 50 pound case?
I've added a drain valve to my loop. It's much easier.
from what im aware, alienware has closed loop systems so they dont need maintanence, and its just for the CPU anyways, correct me if im wrong, ive never seen an alienware in person...
i have a ceap kit with no draining port
Funniest technique ever. My Case would be impossible.. it weights almost 50 kilos. Also.. with all the loops and disks, you could have broke something with the turn over of the case. You should use a hospital can with tubes. You squeeze and the can sucks the water,... then you blow air in the tubes..and squeeze again. There a lot of techniques but yours was new to me. Never tought of it. It also looks bad for your equipment. imagine if you cant grab it wisely... :) cool video altough
So whats the trick... i mean hows that design? can you show it please?
You would think siphoning, either manually or with the right equipment, would be easier on you and your equipment. Especially for heavy cases, especially for heavy cases that use plastic front/top panels that could crack under the weight. Would only suggest manual siphoning if its plain distilled water though, additive stuff is probably rather toxic. Shouldnt be a prob since the best route is distilled water with kill coils anyway.
@ribak1983 LOL Do you like my HW reviews or do you hate my WC reviews?
german accent FTW!! :D
yeah id like to see you drain my water cooling loop that way, my pc tower is 3 foot easily and weighs 100lbs
me neither, i have the dangerden tower 29. shes a biggie
@PerfectChaos123 That would be easier to have water all over your parts.
Was that all the water? Sure didnt look like a hole lot.
@siddsm666 jaja I would also like to see him doing that on an ATCS
How would you know if you even need to clean out the liquid cooling?
@DazModeWatercooling

If you have flow meter you would see flow rate is lower then before.
@DazMode LOL!
hehe some spilled on the ground at the end :P
@4nthrax93 ah thanks mate on the spelling, and typically with siphoning you shouldn't let it get to you mouth o.o lol at least if it does your supposed to spit it out, ive done it once and i didn't let it sit in my mouth long enough to be tasted, but thats me lol Cheers mate
ok not bad, but what if I have the 900d?

yeah i was thinkn the same thing cus that thing is heavy haha

@xxcue SONY H1
I tried bending my 900D to empty the loop and now my wrists are gone.

+Carlovfx That true. Old cases were quite strong current tin-foul made cases like 900D probably just folds if you try to to lean them. Worked on 900D for customer, and that as really garbage quality.

wouldn't it be simpler to have disconnected the tube from the radiator to cpu and put it in the bucket?
what about full towers there are heavy like mine :(

Maxtorym same I just bought a brand new water built pc and I was wondering the same
I have a Mountain Mods case with 3 quad rads and 1 triple rad and I really don't think this method will work for me. XD
You use a tire jack.
@ribak1983 Funny story, he runs a watercooling store.
My case is Haf X and i dont think this method can be use here -_-
ROFPML
At the end of video "theres my water" then the last drop comes flying out unsuspected.
Antec 1200s are not meant to sit that way
German, french,.??
haha, at the end a little bit of water gets spit out by his system... i bet the sistem hates it:P
It hurts me how you handle that case ;)
You could always just use common sense and put a "drain valve" a the lowest point of your system and have it on a "dead" setting so it just loops around and, essentially, ignores it unless i turn the knob.
У чувака акцент русский, не?)
lol at the end more water comes out.
@TheSherrbert C00l br0
why dont you just turn the bomb on and let it do automatic xD also conect it with other powersupply xD
