How To DOMINATE In Position

Position is POWER! Playing in position against your opponent(s) is a gigantic postflop advantage. Understanding how to effectively utilize position is vital to becoming a winning poker player. This video aims to break down the key considerations for playing in position, as well as providing you with proven exploits that will help you maximize your winrate.
Pokercoaching Coach Jonathan Little guides you through why you should play wider ranges from in position, as well as how to use the information you gain on your opponent's range to exploit them. He also teaches why you are at a disadvantage out of position, explaining how you will often have to fold postflop meaning you under-realize your equity.
He also compares GTO charts from in position and out of position, and shows how you should adjust your strategy as the button moves around the table!
• IN POSITION ADVANTAGE #1 - You control the size of the pot
• IN POSITION ADVANTAGE #2 - You have more information about your opponent's range
• IN POSITION ADVANTAGE #3 - You get to act last
• IN POSITION ADVANTAGE #4 - You get to call more bets in position than out of position

Thanks for sharing, this is very helpful. I play small buy in tourneys in Houston $125-$300 usually. People tend to play super loose pre flop and when in position and i enter the pot , i usually 5-8x BB my raise because i know they will call and i want that when i am a statistical favorite.. Can you share some strategies pre and post flop for low buy in tourneys when playing against lots of recs ? Thanks Coach

Not factoring in small blinds will one day be considered the biggest blunder of GTO.

I like the remedial reminders of very basic things like playing in position. There's always a new perspective on it. We know why it's good to act last by having the most information, being able to fold, check back or bluff, but when you start off with the extra bet perspective you remember how much more profitable it is when you have the nuts or close to it. That's why small pocket pairs are so much LESS valuable OOP even when you do flop a set on rare occasions.

In the range charts, what do black and gray tiles represent?

Those are hands that were not in the original range to start. Look at the first set of charts, then look at the next set of charts. You will see that those Black/Gray tiles were not included in the starting pre-flop range, therefore they can not be in the continuing range.

😂😂😂 I just love Jonathan! "Obviously, this isn't ideal, because we're raising 15% of hands, instead of "only" 14.8% of hands. (And for all the keyboard warrior grammar Nazis out there, yes, I realize that I used double quotations twice. I did so for effect, not grammatic accuracy)

do people still make money on poker? i haven't followed the game since 2012. I made some god money on PokerStars during 2009-11 and quit. Played offline a bit, but it wasn't very profitable. Is there any game that ppl play now, that is popular and maybe new?
