HOW TO DO SPIROMETER EXERCISE EFFECTIVELY | mgmorthocare | asthma
We can do deep breathing exercises by using a spirometer. It is a 3 ball respirometer used to do deep breathing exercises. We all know how bad is this Pandemic and how the coronavirus is affecting the lungs. Doing this exercise at home will strengthen the lungs. Hold this spirometer in your hand and take a deep breath. You will have to inhale, and when the inhaling is deep enough, all the three balls will rise up. If all the three balls do not rise up, don't worry do it regularly, you can achieve the goal. Then turn the spirometer upside down and take a deep breath and then blow into the mouthpiece of the spirometer. when your exhalation is deep enough again all the three balls will rise up. If all the three balls do not rise up, don't worry do it regularly, you can achieve the goal.
It is very useful following all major orthopedic surgeries, cardiac surgeries, and abdominal surgeries. By doing this exercise the recovery can be the father and the patient can go home earlier. It prevents the building up of Mucus and fluid within the lung by increasing the lung capacity and increasing the saturation ( SP02). It is a good exercise for people with lung diseases like COPD, Asthma, Pneumonia, Chronic Bronchitis.

Great method but you might want to consider if it would be more beneficial to inhale through the nose since inhaling too much CO2 can cause one to hyperventilate and faint..inhaling through the nose increases Nitric oxide!

That’s what my Dr told me. She said I should do it twice daily for 10 mins until I get all balls up then once daily 10 mins
