Hi everyone! Welcome back to my new beginner friendly mini skating tutorial series! On Fridays I will be releasing a new 5 minute beginner friendly skating tutorial as an effort to make information about skating more accessible for beginners. I wanted to create a short and condensed version of my longer length tutorials. In this video will be going over how to do a single lutz jump, which is the single jump you will learn after the single flip in figure skating. I will leave a link to my last 5 minute Friday video that went over how to do a single flip jump below.

I originally recorded this video about 1 year ago. Since then I had moved the footage off my phone to make space for other videos. Somewhere in that process I deleted a few clips for the lutz tutorial portion of my 5 minute Friday series. I recovered as much footage as I could and decided to add in some recent clips. I know this video was not as detailed as past videos in this series because of the missing footage. I highly recommend checking out the flip jump video I have in this series to learn more tips + tricks for what your upper body should be doing in the jump. I do plan on going to a rink and filming more in depth tutorials for each of these jumps. Due to popular demand I will be posting a bonus episode of 5 minute Fridays soon going over how to do the single axel!
