How to Do a Rockabilly Fade Haircut | SEB MAN

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to cut a rockabilly tight fade with a semi intentional line from this SEB MAN tutorial. Aiden Xydis, SEB MAN Global Artist shares his tips and insights about how to style this classic look for an edgier vibe using our products.
Creating the base perimeter;
STEP 1:
Start by cutting a baseline with a clipper and a comb, working flat to the scalp from the temple area to the occipital area.
STEP 2:
Add your number 1 guard and work from the hairline up to the baseline.
STEP 3:
Work freehand from the hairline up to just below the baseline.
STEP 4:
Rework the other side of the head and add in a new part, working from the recession line to the crown. Start this side from the center-back and work towards the temple. Working from the temple to the occipital bone creates a diagonal line, like a diamond shape.
STEP 5:
Repeat the same steps on the side by adding a number 1 guard to your clipper and work just below your baseline. Then freehand from the hairline to the base.
STEP 6:
Once the baseline is complete, refine the perimeter by freehand, clipper and comb and the use of the number 1 guard. With the filler blade go around the hair line area and remove any stragglers. Top area
STEP 7:
Keep the hair uniformly wet and comb it backwards.
STEP 8:
Comb the hair into the parting downwards in angle working from shorter at the crown to longer at hairline, using your baseline as a guide. This gives you length in the middle of the haircut and takes the length off the sides, allowing the hair to go back.
STEP 9:
Blow dry the hair back and then refine and retouch any lines you might have left. To eliminate any weight in the hair use blending shears over comb.
STEP 10:
Mix The Player styling gel with the Dandy pomade this gives the hair extra hold while keeping the hair malleable. Use the product to flatten the corners of the haircut - the rockabilly shape is created manually.
