In this step by step tutorial you will learn some fundamentals of barbering, such as how to shape a beard and to do a classic pompadour fade cut. Follow Aiden Xydis' advice on how to perfect your technique and what SEB MAN products to use for this look.
STEP 1:
Create a half horseshoe section. Use the clipper over comb technique at a 45° angle from the temple to below the occipital bone. This visually creates a V shape at the back.
STEP 2:
Take a vertical section at the crown and around the hat line before blunt cutting. Use the scissors over comb technique to refine the shape.
STEP 3:
Release the top. Work with the horizontal section from the back to the front. Meet all sections at the crown and point cut.
STEP 4:
Apply The Groom hair and beard oil on the beard. Use the clipper over comb technique to reshape the beard. Apply shaving cream before shaving the hairline and close the pores using The Gent aftershave balm. Blow-dry the hair and finish off the look with some texturising gel.
