You have, without a doubt, one of the best pomps I've seen. So many dudes go for the whole psychobilly ramp/wedge look, but the way you keep those waves gives your hair a really classic and authentic look. Love it.

@jmizzle4 when u do the regular pomp, high and tight, the hair is longer in the front and gets shorter as u go back.if you are going to make it high and tight, the hair on the sides is also a little longer than on the top of the head because it has to comb somewhat up towards the top as it goes back because u dont wont it to be poofy on the sides.sorry thats confusing.the best i could suggest is not to go to a mainstream hair cutter but find an old timer type barber shop, they're more familar

#1 tip of pomp tutorials: Always fast forward to the end result. - blowdry hair back and up first - apply only enough product necessary to shape outer part of hair - brush to saturate - Hook hair with brush or comb to lift, or if long enough, push hair forward to create a bump. Not straight back to make a 45 degree angle like his hair here, it just looks fuckin' dumb - use fine tooth comb to smooth (or a soft bristle brush) - set final look with strong hold hairspray (finer mist the better) (source: im a hairstylist)

Are you only using Sauvecito? I'm a blonde/ginger with straight hair. I've been combing a pomp for about 15 years now, and am always looking for better methods. What do you use to get your hair to be stiff like that? Do you use a base? I've been using American Crew Fibre (yeah yeah, whatever it works) as a base to get height and such...and sauvecito to make it smooth, etc. But I find it tends to "compress" about a hour after I comb. Any tips?

I'm in your position bro, I got that curly Italian hair. Best thing for you to start off with, is mixing pomades. I'd say start with some Murray's (if you're up for having it in your hair for a week) and mixing that with some DAX or Layrite. You can keep doing this, mixing heavy pomades for hold with the lighter pomades for shine and smoothness. Keep searching until you find something that works for YOU.

I have a problem with my hair stranding together... Dunno what to do about that. Anytips? Your pomp doesn't separate or strand before you leave the house? Mine does for some reason. Kinda annoying.
