I wish you'd told me that 40 years ago.
I find budgeting therapeutic. It gives a peace of mind and if you track your spending meticulously, it can give you a great insight into your spending habits. Plus knowing your monthly spending averages can help you set goals for yourself to spend more wisely in the future.
The happiest people are the givers not the takers. thanks for the reminder and great video Rachel!

I use cash as much as I can. Lessens the use of balancing check books
there is a learning curve for newbies that have never done a budget before like us, but I like seeing exactly where our money goes... it even helped decide which things had to go, like cutting off the cable, & lowering our cell phones bills. You can tweak it just right for your saving needs!
Oh my goodness, I’ve been watching a dad show for a while and I’m so happy you were on one of the episodes (how to attract a guy with money goals) and I got to see your personality shine! Love love love you and I’m so excited for this video! Thank you girl!
I really like how you add the “giving” section to your budgeting. Bless you always Rachel. Thumbs up 👍🏻
This is an answered prayer! I’m reading your dads book and this explanation is what I needed to hear on HOW to budget in 2018! You’re awesome! Thank you! God bless :)
Thanks Rachel! Love your quick and informative videos.
This channel is perfect for my 23 yr old daughter who just got her first job after graduation. Love it! You go Rach!
Such a wonderful positive and upbeat demeanor! That goes a long way for people with money stress 😊
Thank you for this! New to the system & just put our budget in for this month. Looking for more videos on the envelope system, please! Thank you- these are so good & I enjoy your sense of humor Rachel!
I just found your videos and I already love them ❤️
Love it, happy new year, yoi and your Dad and the rest of your team are just making me excited everyday. Thank you so much for inspiring and giving me hope and dream high for my family. God is good.
So amazing! Thanks for making this video! It really helped me. I learn best by seeing an example.
I been good savings for most of my life . Some times you get off track you make it fun to lean again I have every dollar and it works great. Thanks for your help
Good video. Happy new year's Rachel.
Your Dad saved my life! he is the ONLY one that has made it possible for me to do a budget, get rid of Debt and take care of finances. Please let him know this! thank you him and please keep the legacy!
thanks so much for this breakdown. Good idea!
Hi Rachel I have been using this app and it's truly great !
I use other budgeting app because im not in USA or Canada but I agree that a monthly budget is a must its impossible to control your finances otherwise
Thank you so much! This was very helpful!
You have the best personality! Love your videos!
Happy New Year!
Very practical, useful video! Thanks.
You are hilarious. Enjoyed watching your videos. Very informative and innovative. Thank you and God bless you.
Another great video. Thanks for the inspiration.
Rachel you are my spirit animal. (I’m also a Rachel 🤗) I LOVE going out to eat. I say all the time my favorite meal is one that I don’t have to cook myself😂
So helpful and fun to watch!!!
We need this so bad in the UK! Please nudge some of the tech people to make this available haha :-)
Oh doing a budget is so scary for me. But I know I really do need to do it. Thank you for the video.
A Controller at a company is called that because of his/her ownership of the budget, so you are spot on that budgeting gives you 'control' over your money.
Great video! I keep a finance binder which is a basic three-hole binder where I keep track of all my accounts and do monthly budgets before I get paid. I like the categories that you listed oh, mine is a little different but it works really well to have a system in place because then you have money to spend. I a lot a certain amount of money every Friday for spending and that way I always have spending to look forward to instead of spending in one spot that I can keep taking from. It's kind of like a reward system so then I have to think of what I'm going to spend it on LOL if I can't think of something to buy it that Friday, I just roll it over to the next one and I have double. It's a fun little system I came up with :-)
Great video. Thanks 👍🏼
thank you! happy to be here!
I just discovered you in a jobsparx article. looking forward to learning more from you.
Happy New Year! I am a little confused on how to manage my budget if I don't know the monthly income. Should I go based on the previous month?
Haha the little Christmas tree that was in the last video is gone! :) Thanks for all the advice!
I love this Every Dollar app.
Omg i am a huga fan of your channel. Always watching your videos on my way to work or from work🤗.. I live in Australia 🇦🇺.. wondering when will this app be available in Australia?
Thank you for making it easy to understand but how do you plan for savings and what do you do if you needed to do a grocery trip because people came in town unexpectedly? I wish you and Dave were in WV I would love for you to help me with mine. We are trying but it can be confusing at times.
Thank you!!
Love it!
The EveryDollar app helps me budget my money. I even set up my bank account to help assign my money as well.

I would really love to use the app! Unfortunately I live in Europe and the App Store doesn't offer your app here. It would be so great if you could make it accessible to European as well! Love you channel! Best from Germany!
Ha! Jakota South Dakota!! Love that!
Giving is good!!
Which category would you put store returns or insurance reimbursements since they are not income but they do increase the $ available?
I LOVE the Every Dollar App
Thank you for inspiring me to budget. I tried the monthly budgeting and I do have the app. However, I prefer to budget bi-weekly to match my paydays. Can you show me how to budget bi-weekly using everydollar?
I understand the app so then were do I put the money that comes in based on my categories?
I love you and your teachings but unfortunatly in Italy ( where I am from) this app is not available 😭😭😭😭
Thank goodness I paid off my car! Honda lol! Really I did, thank you for the tip.
I have a question. I am mostly an online shopper when it comes to clothes and shoes and accessories. How do I budget that money out in a cash system? Do I put it into a separate account?
thanks love
Hi Rachel, here you mention having all dollars allocated i.e. zeroed out. But what to do you at the end of the month if you didn't spend all of the money that you allocated to those categories. If you have 30 dollars left in the food budget, would you be able to allocate it to whatever you want i.e. more savings etc?
I would love to use Every Dollar app but it doesn't work in Europe. So I go old fashion way with paper sheet and pen. Works that way too. 😊

Hi thank you so much for your leasson, why program for budgeting is blocked for other country like Kosova, Albania etc... please could you unlock fir us as well
Hi Rachel, I LOVE Every Dollar but can't use it on my phone since I live in Germany...any chance that could be changed? :)
I have a question. If you get a paycheck at the end of a month like the last week of the month, would you calculate that paycheck in that same month or the next month for your budget??
Hi, What is the best Budgeting App to use in Australia please? I live in Sydney, Australia. Can not use the Everydollar App in Australia.
Not only your personality attractive also your videos
What a great video.
How do you break that up on a weekly check? I already got my July budget ready to go
I went old school (Dave Ramsey) and wrote everything in a notebook
Hey Rachel! I live in Holland, and therefore cannot download the app. What would be your suggestion for an alternative? Thanks!
Hello! I am currently reading your book, Love Your Life Not Theirs" and was a child raised on Dave Ramsey mentality. I have been budgeting on my own system the past 2 years, and have been very successful with saving, but wanted to switch to Every dollar. My only question is, what happens when I have money saved at the end of the month? Will that be displayed somewhere? I'm only a teenager about to go start college
Charity begins at home..pay your mortgage first!!!..if you have anything left then cut them a few bux..Im not going hungry because I gave my spare cash away lol...

When you give you never stay hungry. This is the way it works. It's amazing how you have more than enough when you give first. Try it.

Would be nice to have the every dollar app with multi currency as I live in the UK and would use this app if it was available
If I get paid bi-weekly and part of my last months paycheck needs to be budgeted for bills for the next month. Where would I put the next months bills at? In the same month of my paycheck or allow the money to carry over to the next month?
I can't download either....I'm from Philippines. Thanks
this was an awesome How To video :)
Is there an option to receive alerts for when I'm nearing my budget limit for any specific category? I feel like I need that so badly!
Please is it possible to make this app available in the UK, i have read the DR book I would really like to use it, Natalie from Manchester United Kingdom
In the Every Dollar app... How do you carry over funds received in one month that are to be used for a specific reason in the next month? Also how do you get budget for sinking funds, for example saving for property taxes or new technology? Also car insurance is listed under two categories, auto and insurance. Where should one put it? I’m thinking under car. Thank you so much!
Hello Rachel. I'm Yasmine. I saw you and your dad live in San Antonio just a few months after I left the Navy in 2008. I went through the Financial Peace program military edition and loved it. I also purchased the Personal Finance Software 10 years ago which I still use. I did download the Every Dollar App which is cool, but comparing it to the software, I have found that it lacks so many of the worksheets, such as major components of a financial plan, irregular income, the breakdown of savings, and debt snowball. Has Mr. Ramsey considered adding those features in the app. In the meantime, I will continue to use the software
how do you budget for the month if your check is not the same form week to week
When will this app be available for Android users in canada???
I have been trying to use EveryDollar. However it is difficult to budget when you income fluctuates from week to week. Any advice on how to budget? When it hard to predict your monthly income.
How do I get started budgeting if I don't get a paycheck. I'm self employed and my month to month is not consistent at all. Please help!

What is best in this situation is to get one month ahead at some point. For example, for one really good month, you set aside half of it. Then the next month you budget only on what is left from that last month and don't use anything that comes in during the month, only spending what is left from last month. Then from that point forward you always budget based on your earnings from the prior month. So lets say you get a great month in April making 4,000.00--you managed to only spend 2000 during April. You write a budget for May based on 2000. By the end of May you have earned 3000. So you budget for June using the 3000 and continue that going forward.

If I was in your shoes I would bank on your lowest income within the last 12 months . Then any extra is a bonus to you.
Hi, the app everydollar unfurtunately is not available in México, do you know onother app for bodget?
I don't even have regular income yet, but I use EveryDollar to budget what little I do get... it is Amazing
In baby step 2, so my giving and savings is lower than 10 percent as I try and attack my debt. Is that okay?
Rachel what happen to the budget if you don't use all the money in that category. does it roll over to next month or it disappear
How do you budget regular Dr bills?
With entering the paycheck amount-do you enter gross or net income?
Is there an app like this for the UK?
How do you deal with three pay months, because when you are first starting out you are probably living paycheck to paycheck, therefore, that last paycheck in a three pay month (eg. December was for me) my last paycheck will need to go to the first week of January. But if I budget for just December with December money my budget is not correct. And I will not be able to pay for the expenses at the beginning of January, before I get paid in January and I cannot be bothered to call and change my due dates every time to make sure that I have the money in my account to cover those bills.
Hey Rachel! I love the EveryDollar app, but am I able to still utilize it if I get paid twice a month? Also, I like the idea of making the monthly budget before the month begins but I get paid by commission so my check is different every time I receive it. How would you budget in that regard?

Dave Ramsey says u should take u lowest possible income n budget off that then make a list of priorities and everything above ur lowest month is allocated down the list till it’s gone that month
Ok question for the 0 dollars at the end of each month. We owe rent on the 3rd and dont get paid till after that. So how do we do that??
I just do a written one, works for me.

Can my wife and I use the app, and see what each other is spending towards the budget?
So I did all of that on Every Dollar. But all of my sources of income get direct deposited. So do I withdraw that money and put it in envelopes? And then redeposit when I have to write a check for that category?
Can do a budget if you don't have a steady income?
Where is your monthly budget video with the whiteboard that you filmed by the stairs?? Its your best video ever! I cant find it! :(
What budget categories do you use?
Hi Rachel, i leave in Singapore i want to download the this app but cant find it in the app store. Is it only applicable in certain countries? Thanks.
I dont have this application available in my country 😐
To Racheal Cruze, I live in Baltimore, Maryland and I have an financial institution with a credit union called MECU (Municipal Employee Credit Union). I had enrolled in the Every Dollar for the one year subscribtion for $79 when the budgeting plan was $20.00 off last year. I had tried to look for my credit union last year but the Every Dollar did not have my credit union, only the regional and local banks and other credit unions in Maryland. My question is, how do I add MECU onto the Every Dollar app? I would highly be appreciated.
When will this app be available internationally 😔?

It is pretty cool to have your money work for you and telling it what to do. For example, I tell my money how to make more money to pay my bills so I can quit my job and sail across the world lol.
