14:13 not letting hips go round is an excellent point. This has been much discussed and debated. I like the way you presented that point.

Avoiding Pain is my motivator. Lol
He said the right thing it's 45 degrees for the arm distance but his arms were much wider out
Great job
Awesome
As the Sensei of the West Coast Jujitsu Club in Southern California, It was always a pleasure to workout with and instruct Briston. He has become a true champion. Very good video!
Excellent technique
OUCH!!
4:14 the angle of the arm that hits the mat is too wide, it must be a 45° angle, if you open too wide you could over extend your shoulder joint or get injured
The two friends of mine how used to practice Jujitsu, injured their knee. One to a "teacher" showing a technique and the other one three time injuring himself on the same knee... All these throws and joints locks are exactly the reason why I have never tried those martial arts. You see, I didn't grow up with and into it, I feel too old (42) to start and learn such dangerous techniques. Trust issue? :)

I am 44...I take them often as my SHODAN will require much sutemi and there are a great deal of hip throws at the ranks below me. So I try to spend a huge amount of time warming up and limbering up- along with lots of ukemi prior to workout when the young cats are socializing off mat. Haha.

I am 52 and I will take 30 falls from a great nage but only one from a beginner. 😂. I have to warm up 30 minutes before.
