Johnno and David ,Good morning from Ireland 🇮🇪. This video reminds me with my father, and he showing me the way around a bulldozer and tractors 🚜 Listen to your Dad. Take all his knowledge, and if you're heading down the road as a truckie, you'll be way ahead of the rest. David, your dad is pretty good at strapping down a load and sheeting it. Keep a close eye on him when he is doing that .not many can.. Speed isn't everything either. Keep yourself and everyone around you safe. Best of luck to the pair of you. 👍🇮🇪

Every time you take the radiator cap off you should check the seal on the cap . It shouldn’t show signs of being swollen nor should it have started to grow up the sides. It should be flat all across the bottom. A cap seal that is growing up the sides will give problems with expansion of the cooling system as it stops the cap from operating at its designed pressure. This can cause over pressurisation of the system that can result in blown hoses or damage to the radiator itself.

She's 18 now and eager to drive, we're still discussing, which car to choose ;) And interesting to see the differences of the trucks. My Scanias got disc brakes all around and air supsension at the front axle also, the last one had 770hp from a V8 for (officially) 40tons only. Your 909 will be a bit more durable, I guess! Pre-start? Don't you have to start the engine to do the pre-start? Well once the engine is started no longer pre-start is pre-start. In USA is called pre-Trip. You do it becouse you go on the trip on on the start. Part of the pre trip is testing air breakes. Engine has to run for that. So that is no longer pre start

@@RoadTrainAdventures I know, I know, it's stil pre-trip. People who don't know it will call it pre-start and will get those who know it upset. Its better always call things properly and educate people properly
