Why a 2 axle dolly and not a triple?
@mohitjeetsingh7765
4 ай бұрын
triple dolly is mainly used for super heavy loads like fuel and mining. I guess it is just economical to used tandem instead of triple dolly, also govt. regulations might play a role.

Howdyyawl from the land down under. Not many people or road users would know what is what on a semitrailer. Its nice to see someone is willing to show the workings. It would be nice if more road users were educated to give trucks & drivers more credit on the road. Without you people noyhing would get where it's going. Thanks. Keeping it real 😊

interesting that not one person in that queue had a saw on board!. I used to always carry a saw when i worked on properties in the bush, trees and limbs over roads were not an every day item, but they happened often enough to make it worth while to carry the saw.

Really interesting channel youve got here. One thing ive often wondered is what sets apart a road train prime mover from a standard b double one? Given the weights etc wondered if the specifications are significantly different for the drive train/chassis etc?
@RoadTrainAdventures
3 ай бұрын
Most of the time a double and double road train prime mover is no different. It's only when you start pulling more trailers and heavier weights does the diff get bigger.

G’day Johno, That Detour Transport Big Cab Cabover looks absolutely awesome with the twin tanks. When you are towing just a dolly do you discount the blue line so the dolly doesn’t bobcat under hard braking ? Cheers Louis Kats 👍

QUESTION ANYONE: Are red and blue airhose acting on the same brakedevices on the wheels?
@RoadTrainAdventures
4 ай бұрын
Yes. The maxi and brake is in the same device.
@jefftheaussie2225
4 ай бұрын
There are two parts to the brake chamber. The back half is the maxi or spring brake and the front half is the section that is controlled by your foot. They are independent till the maxi is applied and then it pushes the service brake on. On the front or steer there is only the service brake chamber. Very simple and clever system that is cheap to maintain. If you can hear a big air leak when the foot brake is applied there is a hole in a diaphragm. They are all controlled by air tanks on the trailers and relay valves so they all work at the same time. There would be a delay before the brakes on the trailers came on otherwise. Jeff

Do you know what they do over here when there's a tree over the road? Drive around it quick if they can.Ore Wait for the fire brigade to come and saw him into pieces. I would love the bush/outback/country trucking and the way you guys handle things. No bullshit,Just handle it and solve it. Somthimes i tryd to solve some things like that. But than some other ''truckers'' came and sayd,dont do it noooooo,becose of insurance and some arguments that came up and were made up just not to do it. We dont have so much truckers anymore. Maybe the older truckers. They just spoild drivers. I cant be a part of that. Sorry for say it.
