The problem for me isn't the backflip, it's the part where I have to go back and I am *always* scared I am going to hit my head on the diving board

@@watermagic_fun I always do my backflip in the Layout Position i can control this up 20 Meters but theres always a huge risk to overrate :D

I did it! I made a backflip off of 10 meters. It was really scary, because the place I dive doesn't have a 7 meter platform. I had to go straight from 5m to 10m. Luckily I was still confident, and nailed it eventually.

Damn, that is a nice pool. Im also a cliff diver and have trained over 30 people how to backflip. This is exactly it. I like how you did the "egg roll" back flip (no jump just roll off". This is a great introduction video.

Could you do a separate video on rotation inertia? When to straighten etc? I love your videos and think that would be extra helpful!

I do a lot of cliff jumping here in Hawaii, lately I’ve been trying to send backflips from taller cliffs and find my self over rotating. It’s definitely harder floating it cause I’m used to flipping fast off smaller jumps. I’m getting close to dialing it in 🤙🏼

Use your arms to slow yourself down and dont tuck super hard

I am a qualified spring board diver, but hav never been off 7 m or 10m, i think i would crap myself….. I can coach it no problem… love your videos…

The tip about standing with half of your feet in the air was amazing. I had only ever done a backflip from 1 meter but when I tried it with your tip in mind I made it from 3 and 5 meters with little practice. 7 will have to wait.

If you can do at 3 meters u can do from 5 to 10 as easy as 3 meters but you have to go More lay

thanks heaps for these videos. never done a backflip before and i went to the pool the other day and can already do 5 meter backflips with a clean entry after watching these videos,,, off to find another pool soon with some 7 and 10 meter platforms, will let you know how i get on

I like that point where you said not to turn back head . May be that's the reason I am still learning how to do a back flip.

The first somersault I ever did from a 10-meter board was a backflip. I always preferred to start with them as I could see the water for more of the dive.

Very interesting! It would be cool if you could do the same video for the frontflip, I feel like it's much more easier to over rotate.

Front flips are MUCH harder!!!!!!!

This was really help full. It is good to see How much you care about letting People know that this is not safe to do without more professionel instruktions. I mist admit that i tried the death dive from 3 and 5 meter just by the instruckions in your vidoes 😬 But i will not attempt the backflip from any higher than 3 meters, which i have done many times before!

I like how he shows tons of people failing. Most people watching this r probably scared of doing a back flop or hitting the side of the pool

I could do normal backflips and also i could also almolst do an double backflip, but after i hit my head on the ledge and went through sergery i am now scared to do flips, what should i do?

I love how you tell us don’t do it in the beginning… got me thinking, “he’s so right, maybe I shouldn’t test this backflip from a cliff” 😂

I have a professional diver grandpa and he has a lake spot and with him I jumped off a 7 foot high deck and it was scary until I did it 😂😂 But I can not jump off of 10 meters, it would be fun...until I see how high it is....yeah, anyways I want you to do a video on how to do the backwards Sumersalt into the water.

I had a bad backflip fail on ground. I'm really good on trampoline, and have been doing it for a few years now. I've tried it a few times on ground. Every time I've got over my head, and landed on my knees or stomach. Then one of the times I was going to try it was december so we had some snow already. Me, and my cousin, and sister piled up some snow right beside like a 1 ft ledge. I finally brought up the courage to do it, and then half way through the backflip I hit my head really really hard. I heard an extremely loud crack noise, and bang. I got knocked out for I don't know how long but I woke up on my knee's in the snow. I forgot to push myself away from the ledge so instead I hit my head on a frozen piece of wood that was probably as hard as rock. Also, when I woke up after getting knocked out I had no clue what was going on, and I also had an extremely weird feeling slowly go through my whole body. It's a feeling I can't explain. My head hurt really bad for like a minute but just like magic it went almost completely away after I had stepped inside. It was a crazy experience, and am not sure if I'm going to try a backflip on ground for a while.

Please make a tutorial with just the normal pool deck I have no experience and want to learn how to do it at my cousins pool off the diving board I am 12 so I would be scared but I would try it

2 things 1)can u do the roll even from 10 meters 2) i made my way up to 10 m by my own amd can now do a backflip amd gainer and superman front flip

And chase reinford really be doing a gainer and backflip from 100+ feet ...

I learned and now i can backflip from 5 meters at 12!
