Thank you. Not a lot of videos show how how to take a keyless chuck apart.

Thank you. I was looking for a way to dismantle the chuck, to re-sharpen the teeth on the holders, like you did. I have to look and see if Milwaukee uses the same locking ring concept.

Great video mate! But I am struggling with the set screw, I have a Guild corded drill with a keyless chuck, it was a brilliant drill with a variable speed trigger action and I loved using it in my workshop, that was until my youngest son bought a mini motorbike from one of his mates. His mate had removed the Kickstarter lever and lost it. My son being the clever 13 year old he was at the time, worked out he could 'borrow' my drill one day when i was out fishing, hammer a socket onto the Kickstarter spline and use my drill as an electric starter device! It worked well but he damaged the three jaws so they no longer held a drill bit tight enough and the drill bits kept dropping out when I tried to use it. After watching your video (very informative), I decided to have a go at repairing the jaws but I immediately came across another problem, My son had also managed to strip the threads completely from the set screw and it just turns freely in either direction and neither tightens or loosens enough for me to remove it so I'm a bit stuck as to how to get the screw out and go to the next stage. I'm sorry my comment is a bit long but there's always a back story to every problem and sometimes it's entertaining to read about it. Best wishes from England UK,

Go right ahead and try to remove the chuck. I think the head of lock screw has already been ripped off. you can try to deal with the remaining thread later when the chuck is off.
