In this video, I am sharing with you how I use die cuts without a machine. It's actually very easy! I've seen some use rolling pins, but I didn't get that to work on the smallest details. Here's how I do it (skip to 4:04 for the tutorial). This video is a collaboration with In Love Art Shop, who gifted the following products: Mushroom stamp: bit.ly/307z3Bo Mandala die: bit.ly/3eMFUUF Watercolour brushes: bit.ly/2zYlUzL They are giving 15% discount to my viewers with the code : G-17898

This is really a great video ! And so helpful. Thank you so very much for sharing this. I was frustrated with the dies I got from Temu. After 10 times back and forth through my Sizzix, it was still impossible to get a straight cut everywhere. A part came off easily, another never did. So I'm delighted to know I still might succeed after all! You made my day, so once again : Thank you so much ! ❤❤❤

Toothbrush? Hmm ok! Gotta try that, thank you! I tried with a painting brush but maybe it was too soft...? 💭

I think the reason why a rolling pin didn’t work for you (as you said in comments in late video) is because the rolling pin is very flat and unmoving, so small details are missed if the rolling pin doesn’t reach some of the small pieces of metal, either due to the metal not being as tall or because the pin is not perfectly shaped. A solution may be to use a combination of cutting board and silicon mat. The mat is flexible and so you can apply more pressure to the paper and metal, pushing it into the mat. Just a theory. I’m about to make 30 wedding invitations so I’ll let you know if it works (if I remember to do so)
@cupcakefox5026
Жыл бұрын
An update!!! I am very wrong. Idk if it’s just me or if I was sick, but I could not apply enough force with the rolling pin. One note I should make is that I was using a rolling pin that was cheap and weak - felt like it would break if I tried too hard.

I tried both tooth brush and harder paint brushes but it didn’t work. Oh well, I pick them out as meditation 😉 thank you so much for leaving a comment though! I hope it gave you some ideas xxx
Would this work with vynle? 🤔

Good question 🤔 I haven’t tried, but worth giving it a go? 🙂 let me know how it turns out xx
So cute and good content 👍🏼 new friend here with 💕 keep in touch
Great but that can only be done with a thin printing paper unfortunately not with a heavy card stock.

Hi thanks for commenting 🙂 Thin paper rip easily when you try to remove from the dies. I’ve noticed 250 gsm paper works best. Happy New Year! 🙌🏼⭐️
You can use a toothbrush to remove the small pieces. T4S...

Toothbrush?

An update!!! I am very wrong. Idk if it’s just me or if I was sick, but I could not apply enough force with the rolling pin. One note I should make is that I was using a rolling pin that was cheap and weak - felt like it would break if I tried too hard.
Great idea, but I only use cardstock, so no good for me
