I remember doing the pandemic when the kids was doing remoote learning i got lazy and let my daughter hair get crazy lol she is also tender-headed so i had to figure out what to use to make the process easier on teh both of us so i got a aloe vera leave and did the samething and when i tell you it made the process some much easier and with no tears. Ilove aloe vera no it a staple in her hair care routine

@@jewelofwisdom8279In the past whenever I had a really bad itchy scalp. I would whip up an egg, apply it to my whole head making sure it reaches my scalp, let it sit to dry for a bit and then wash it off. The process is disgusting but well worth the instant relief.

my fro is matted and I have a braid appointment...i got serious matting in some areas, need to try this...thanks!

I personally like a brush. A comb does not and will not get it out along with lent . And my 22 month old has hair down his back...

Would this work on locs?

maybe it is different for my hair but once when my hair was falling out someone told me to use aloe vera and to leave it on as long as I wanted as it would cause no harm. That was not true and was the worse thing I ever did to my hair. I let the aloe vera soak my hair for 2 hours then took a shower and washed it out. My hair was so dry and brittle it started breaking and falling out even more as soon as I started brushing... do you know why?

OK so I tried the Apple cider vinegar, but I didn’t have any aloe vera so I improvised with some Alevera juice from Walmart and did not get the same results. His hair did feel soft after the apple cider vinegar rinse but the knots were just almost impossible to get out. I’ve recently purchased a product that is supposed to be really good at detangling by aunt Jackie’s. I’m going to try that out and see how that works.

Sometimes you just need to cut off the really damaged part and start over. When my mom passed, I didn't comb for 4-5 mos. My friend cut about 3 inches off and I was able to manage the matte better.😊

I've used flax seed gel. Just boil a couple tablespoons of flax in water until it thickens. I usually separate by pouring through a metal strainer while it's still hot but you could wait for it to cool to strain similar to how she did the aloe in this video.

Late comment but it's the gel consistency of the aloe vera when blended, that gives that beneficial slip for the detangling. The aloe juice doesn't have the same slip. I don't have aloe vera so I'm going to try today with flax seed gel.

I wish my kids hair was this bad lol mines got a giant donut in his hair. I’ve been at this for 3 days haha

She didnt comb it because it's impossible to comb hair like that.

It’s really not. She should have taking it very small sections at a time and slowly deranged from bottom to top using her hands n rat tooth comb to take out and knotts gently

Her hair is not extremely matted. It just needs detangling & conditioner. Mm y hair is matted waxy knots. ACV and aloe vera did not work.😭
