However if you are worried about that then you just have to try to go at times / days when there are less people; or just figure out how to get an acceptable level of clean in a short amount of time. A lot of people treat the self serve car wash as a pre treat for a normal drive through car wash and not as an all in one solution

Please note, you can replace most of your chemicals with one from Optimum, it's called Optimum No Rinse. A rinseless wash is the best choice when your on vacation. I never use the soap at a self serve, unless I'm doing a strip wash. ONR is great for interiors & glass as well. ONR with wax can replace the Technicians Choice or I would use TW Seal 'N Shine or another ceramic detailer. Please do more videos, you are far better than the other boys!

Good info! I always bring rinseless wash with me in a big sprayer for the purpose of pretreating the bumper and windshield cleaning. I think it’s probably better than whatever foam option is in the wash bay, but would likely take more time. For me, I’d spend the extra time though. The rinseless can also be used as a drying aid as well.

Nice job on the truck and the video. A great idea, taking the 'stuff' to the 'Pay 'n Spray'. My local place is so busy, that they give you 2 minutes per session, but have a pretty nice semi-covered area with the vacuums to dry, so you're not in the direct sun. Do another when you get home showing us what the 'show room' version looks like with tire dressing. You made this look so easy and I know that a big truck like yours is some work. Give us more videos, please. You are good at it. Very easy to follow you.

I live in Massachusetts in a community between Boston and Worcester. The weather can be in the 50's one day and in the teens or lower the next. I live a little over 2 miles from a" pay-and-spray" self serve car wash. When it is too cold to pull out the hose and pressure washer, I go there to knock down the heavy stuff. I bring spray bottlesP&S' Brake Buster and iIon Buster and a sprayer with ONR in it. I spray the tires and wheels with the P&S stiff, then spray the ONR over the vehicle I then use the rinse setting to knock the heavy stuff and do the undercarriage, then I drive home and do a proper rinseless wash with ONR in my heated garage. I blow dry the vehicle and use a waffle weave drying towel to take care of any drips. All three of my vehicles are ceramic coated, so they clean up easily.

  • @Ruhdiculus

I do this quite often in the winter time. I like to use a rinseless wash like ONR so you can save some $ and time at the wash. I like to pre-soak with onr to let it start working, then I can spray the car down. If need be you can hit the vehicle with APC if it is really dirty. Then I would follow through with the BRS or UBS to clean then follow through with a drying MF towel. For wheels, you can change or do the process with whatever obviously depending how dirty it is. This also applies with an automatic car wash if you want the belly of your vehicle cleaned up as well!

most self serve places I've seen don't allow you to bring your own stuff in to wash. They don't even want you drying your car off because they want the maximum amount of people in and out of the bays as possible. Best to do this at a 24 hour place late at night when the owner isn't hanging around and you're not holding anyone up

Considering that a quality detailer coming to your house or place of residency on a mobile basis will easily cost $70-$150 to do the same service, with some variation depending on your region, that really shouldn’t be the main factor to not care for your vehicle. It is an economically conscious method of caring for your vehicle if you are away from home or don’t have access to running water at your residence. Especially since all of her products displayed are not exhausted and have plenty of product remaining for multiple uses, or washable.
