Great video. I'm always happy to watch your tutorials as they have no distracting music playing in the background as you tutor. It is quite easy to focus plus you don't impose your music preferences to everyone else as a result of watching your tutorials. I am really grateful.
I like Nick's videos because when he's doing these type of videos, he sneaks in multiple tutorials in one vid. Now you know how to make a shield, stars, and more!

I always appreciate these videos. Watching your videos has helped me tremendously with learning Inkscape. I've been able to apply those skills to design stencils that we create and sell, so I really appreciate the content. Thanks, from one Nick to another.

Great tutorial as usual. Thank you!!
since I'm early there's something I wanna ask for. what about a series of a long video about the whole logo design process, presentation and delivery to the client? I think that would be super helpful if you do have the time for it, Nick. great video btw ;)

That would be very cool to see. I'd add in the whole process of file management, saving projects/files, organization, file types, etc.
I have just started playing with Inkscape and love your tutorials. One thing though is it not easier to make a triangle by choosing polygons and then three sides.
What a great tutorial! This has made a very happy camper!
THANK YOU NICK!
I missed these, very cool.
Fantastic Video! Thank you for posting.

Hi Nick, I love your work and your tutorials have helped me tremendously. I need to know something. Do you have any advice on how to match a font on a picture? I have tried several font identify type of sites but I can not get a match. Is there something on inkscape that can help?

This is a very useful channel, glad I've found it. I'm quite proficient with CorelDRAW, but I've been meaning to switch to Inkscape for years. While Inkscape is deficient when it comes to certain features, it has two huge advantages over Corel: it's free, and it works on Linux. CorelDRAW is one of the few programs that keeps me dependent on Windows, so I'm willing to lose some features just to move to Linux full time.
Hi, I have a problem with my inkscape. Why installed font dont show up in inkscape font list? Do you have special technique to solve this? Thank You !!
You're very good at eying alignments, it seems

Yeah I guess my eyes are well trained after doing this for so long
nice, thank you!
Tip to people following along in 2020, not sure if this is the right way of doing it but if you're having trouble with all the path steps not separating objects properly try I selecting objects and strokes using the 'edit paths by node' selector instead of the normal 'select objects and transform' selector
Great tutorial! I have enjoyed this tutorial very much, but for some reason all of my colors seem watered down. Any idea on how to change this?
Nick you sire are a legend.
I have a logo that I created a week ago and I am trying to go back and change the color of the font, but it's not allowing me to. any help would be great.
Thanks nick, you helped me a lot with inkscape. But i have just one question, what is the purpose of stroke to path -> break apart -> union. I'm pretty confused why you do that
Hi Nick! What are recommendations/suggestions in high quality when it comes to exporting your work?
You're simply awesome!
How do I get the circles to line up with the dark part in the middle. I duplicated the first circle with the same opacity which was 50%, then i moved the one of the other and they blended and there was no change. There was no dark part where they meet. It’s all just one color
Great Video, again!
Hello Nick, i noticed when i use gradients in inkscape and i try to resize or move the object even if its grouped or unified the gradients changes or the design just turns one solid color. i noticed when you use gradients and move the design around you dont have that problem.. Do you know how to fix that issue? or anyone on here if they know please help thanks in advance
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, YOU WERE VERY USEFUL TO ME
Thank you so much
Im having trouble with the snapping, Ive followed the beginning steps, is there something else Im missing?

when i click stroke to path for the green triangle the shape cuts
Really, really helpful
Good Job. Thank you.
Excellent video, great presentation
If this is free content I can only imagine what's on your paid courses. I fill get it next month.
Wish you best of luck. Nice teaching.
very helpful for beginner like me. thank you sir.
this was beautiful to watch
I think there may be something wrong with my settings, after I made the three circles and clicked path: intersection it just got rid of the whole thing and left me with a blank canvas.
Greetings from Greece Nick! Nice tutorial for me that i have no idea how to design a Logo or anything else by myself! I wonder if i can use this Logo for my virtual team in a game. I aslo wonder why when I try to save it only appears a segment of this instead of the whole (about the half)
OK got it now from your other video, good work
how do you get yours to look grey for the toolbars and ect.
Your´s videos help me a lot!!!Thanks!!!! I like to know how i can export a created file to a cutter machine ??? I have a roland stika.
I am stuck at Stroke to Path. It just doesn't work. I am using the latest version.
Great!
Stroke to path does nothing on my version of Inkscape, not sure what I'm doing wrong.
the part with of the difference thing thing on the red rectangle isnt working for me, should i watch a tutorial for version 1.2.2?
great video, I tried to follow but Inkscape from 5 years ago with the new version not getting same result. I'm lost 3:58 minute stroke to path. Thank you Nick
Hi man! I have tried the tool edit paths while I am using a circle. It seems to have saved the properties of the edit path to all future circles I have made. It made a pac-man like shape with extra two nodes. How can I return the circle object tool into default? Thanks.
Great video thank you
hes amazing spectacular and great at this
Nick, i cant find the snapping menu i use 2022 version
Nick, I'm fairly new to this! The tutorial was great! You have a whole lot of steps. How can I master this? Thanks!
I was just wondering if I could go pro doing logos with inkscape, thanks bud now I feel better
the break apart option is not working for me. can you please let me know what to do?
Nothing happens when I click stroke to path :(
Amazing channel and videos. Thanks.
I play your tutorials at .75 speed - about the pace of my brain! (Plus the pause button of course.)
How did the shield border turned into peach color without going to any feature or? was that a preset?
Man I love this channel already! This is what I want to do as a career and we even share a name
Hello, i made every thing like you. But after putting stroke... And go to path menu and stroke to path no thing happen nor break apart (still one object) so i can not separate them... Any advice?
Very nice and clean video Greetings from germany 🇩🇪 ✌🏻
At around 4:00 when you do stroke to path my "fill" of the shield does not go away. When I then try to do path > break apart it says: No paths to break apart in the selection. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? Thanks

same here, what good is it to put out a tutorial video, and not reply to anyone asking for help???
Do you have a video on how to literally just upload a existing picture with texting it and be able to edit the text to say something else
Why do you use pixels instead of mm/cm/inches? How do you know what pixels are equivalent to a proper measurement? thx
When I do the difference with the red rectangle it deletes the whole border
Wow I love your video's! I would also love an explanation what the functions are doing. What does STROKE TO PATH, DIFFERENCE and the other terms actually mean....might be easier for some of us to remember when to use them. Thanks for the vids!!!!!!!!
Nice awesome job!
Hope someone helps me but when i go to path one i click stroke to path and break apart nothing happens. Im not sure why. Someone help
Great video, but I'm new to inkscape and even though your videos are really helpful, could you please make one teaching us what every tool and option does, because we're just following you in the video, without sometimes understanding why you do certain things in the video, thankyou
Stroke to path not working in new version. Or am I doing something wrong?
Finally make it 👍
If the Path->Difference doesn't work, try ungrouping everything and then trying it again. For some reason, I had things grouped and didn't realize it, and Path->Difference wouldn't work until I ungrouped the items.
brilliant video
New to Inkscape and when I get to the selecting path, stroke to path, path, break apart, it's not working. I've gone step-by-step with this tutorial and can't figure out what's going on. Any advice is welcomed!!
