Create An Esports Logo with Inkscape
Today I’ll be tackling a common request that I’ve been receiving for a while - how to design an esports logo with Inkscape. I won’t be using any kind of elaborate illustrations of animals or mascots, but I will be demonstrating how to create a logo is the traditional esports style, for a lack of better terms.

Always good to see you Kelvin! Hope all is well with you too.
I use Inkscape for years as an auxiliary tool (not full time), and that's the first time I am actually seeing tutorials for it. Your videos are very well done! Thank you so much for putting this together. I have learned a lot from your channel and will definitively save time on my future endeavours.
wow! Is this the best channel on KZread? This is the best channel on youtube.

YES I don’t even really do anything with Inkscape, but something about Nick’s videos is so relaxing and satisfying.
What a coincidence! I was just using inkscape to draw an NES controller today. I'm turning it into a coffee table with my X-Carve. Your tutorials are the best! 👍
Was waiting for this type of logo for so long Thanks Nick
Thanks a lot Nick! I’ve been thinking of making a logo for my gaming stuff and this really inspired me. Thanks again!!!
love your tutorials! you have helped me learn so much!
Loved it! It's super easy to do, but I feel like the whole difficulty is to come up with the design, and knowing what would looks good or not...so much to learn --'

You're right, it takes a lot of practice. It's like any other skill. It needs to be developed over time.
Hi Nick, Great tutorial and I miss your tutorial like this. And I wait for your next tutorial. Thanks Nick, and I hope you always health and also your family and more success in your business. Thanks.
This was amazing. What a complete tutorial!
8 o'clock in the morning when I wake up in the morning I watched the first video in Turkey Nick :) Thanks so much for this beautiful course ....
That looks so cool. Thank you so much for this tutorial! 💯💯💯💯💯
Hi. I really like your tutorials. I used many of them aleready to make my own little Logos. And when I don't know anymore how something works I first have a look to your homepage and look in which tutorial I saw this already. Thanks a lot for the work and I hope we can see more of your fantastic tutorials.
Thank you Nick. Another great tutorial. 👍
Wow this is a complex yet very resourceful one. Good Job
There is no other inkscape tutorial video, which is better than the videos that you make. Thank you for the video tutorial which is very clear and very helpful in understanding Inkscape
Great content as usual Nick!
The way you work seems like you are solving a puzzle is so fun to watch. I just started watching Tutorials a few hours ago after installing Inkscape Started as a hater, but now I'm kinda enjoying this. It seems more advance than Adobe Anime, for drawing purposes. At least you used it in a more advance way than I used Adome animate. Excelent Tutorials Nick! Cheers
Great tutorial. Very helpful in teaching how to create vector images.
I have nothing to do with logos or graphic design, but I still keep coming back to Logos By Nick. Thanks for your videos.
Awesome completely awesome. Sometimes I think that it is not even possible in inkscape but you make it possible.
Another great video ! Man. I installed inkscape , its really great.
Big thanks for the channel, it is thanks to you that I came back to drawing and design after many years. I wanted to put in this line to also say that I would absolutely love it if you were to do Affinity Designer tutorials as well as Inkscape. I am just getting into it and I am missing Nick.
Very nicely done. Such skill.
Yeahhh! We need more of this.
Hey Nick thanks so much for this tutorial :) Now I can properly use the Offset :)
Hello Nick, I am from India and I learned photo editing in gimp very easily from your tutorials in this lockdown may God bless you.
Thanks for great tutorials!
You are extremely technical man, I love it, you made me lovethis tool!
Another awesome tutorial!
Great lesson. Thank you.
Lovely, thank you so much for sharing.💕👍
Wow. I was just learning to design these types of logos and the offset tool would have saved me if I had found out about it.

Nice as always
Nick you are amazing i cant thank you enough
This is awesome, thank you, Nick! 😃 I was wondering if you could make a video on shading and highlighting? That would be very instructive and interesting. Thanks in advance!

Stopping by to drop some ❤️❤️❤️
I like your work flow.
Thank you!
you really are something incredible
Hey Nick. First of all thank you for all your tutorials. They have helped me to learn using Inkscape to a great extent in less than a year. I just wanted to ask about making that background. On my independent work I was making a logo and wanted to put the bigger size of the logo with a lesser opacity on the background like you did here. Can you teach how to do that cuz path -> difference is not an option there...
Superb
Good job.
For those who are wonder if this font is free for commercial use. Yes it is free for commercial use.
hey brother your videos are amazing and always makes me learn something new , i have a problem in my inkscape the text editor and edit color, gradients dock have a separate window, when i open them they will not open at the right side they opened as a new window
Thank you Nick for the tutorials 😊👍, helped me a lot! Also is there any way to convert inkscape svg files to .eps without losing blur and opacity?
Nik is a good teacher.
Thnx you so much u are amazing bro 🔥🔥💪
Thank You Nick, for taking my suggestion seriously............ #+REP It would be really helpful if u do it with GIMP.....
Great vid! How did you do the background in the thumbnail? That's looking amazing!
GreatVideo!
what a cool tutorial if you don't mind. i want to know 1. how to make a rough circle 2. how to eliminate the automatic path effect on the bezier tool 3. how to make an automatic bent rectangle
Hey Nick. A very cool and interesting video 😉. Is the offset tool a new tool? I think, you don't work with that in the past 😉😉😉. I've seen that first time. See you by your next video. Thank you! And please, create much more videos with this style 😋.
nice tut i will try on illustrator
This was so good. How do you come up with the designs for the tutorials?
esports 420 no scope!!! epic logo
Hii Nick Please make a detail video on Colour Calibration Is it necessary for designers?
Una consulta, en que parte del programa aparece para configurar la apariencia el inkscape, asi como te sale a vos en el video?.
LOL, I was like trying to give five thumbs up to this vid, thanks! :) superb!
Great tutorial! Question, how did you get the actions/buttons to be on the top? on my screen they're on the right
Good!
Thanks
Like always, a very gooood tutoriel. I realy like every single video on your channel. I have learned a lot of technics in Inkscape and Gimp. I have a bug in my Inkscape 1.0 it crushes every time I use the dropper tool. I don't know way. If you have any idea ..... Thanks for all.

If you have the time, please open an issue on Inkscape's repository, so that the developers can be aware of this issue and fix it on the next releases.
great =]
Thanks. Wunderfull. An amazing Tutorial! My two and a half Cents... :)
Watching your tutorials before the Atlanta Falcons game later today and instantly recognized the font. Go Dirty Birds! Thanks for your wonderful tutorials, as a beginner they are an unimpeachable resource. Keep up the great work and continued success!
nice tutorial, but i think you forgot obe thing at the sticks so that those back circles dont go over the edge of the controller
Great howto!
The classic "... Path, object to path. Path, Break Apart. Path, Union ..." is the past. Long live Offset

Are there much differences ?
Love your work Nick, Ive been waiting for this one. Only trouble is when I use the offset tool it shoots black lines out everywhere instead of swelling the image. So I'm following what you do with the final step of putting the yellow border around, so I duplicate, ungroup, union then recolour it yellow, and there's still black lines from the original drawing showing thru the yellow. I think they're what's causing the shooting lines. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to regroup earlier? Or did I not object to path it? Im stumped.

I must say, my computer doesn't seem to like the new 1.0 version either, especially when I break out the offset tool. It slows right down and inkscape has crashed a couple of times. I might have to go back to the older version and do offsets another way. Hmmm
nice
Hey nick, can you explain all snaping?
