Great guide mate! I'm sure it's going to be very useful to many new players. I would just add few things that I think could contribute to the video. 1. Use your hero/explorer/scout unit to scout the map. You want to look for enemy settlers trying to build a forward base to rush you. If you manage to spot them when they leave the protection of their TC and are walking towards the building location, you can switch your hero to melee attack and attack them. What this will do is snare them and they will take longer to reach the building location, which could give you some very valuable seconds to defend. 2. You want to be having a look under your enemy town center when they age up (usually about 4min 12s for most civs but less than 4min with Ottomans) so you can see what crates spawn under the enemy TC and what is your enemy doing in his base. You should check and try to confirm that you are actually being rushed! If your enemy plays as Ottomans and you prepare to defend a rush but then you see 200c and an outpost wagon appear on age up, you are most certainly not being rushed but he is fast fortressing you so you have to adapt. Instead of defending your base, try to do damage while the enemy is weak and age up yourself without over committing to Age2. 3. When defending with your town center. Try to avoid having more than 10 villagers gathered inside of it since the villagers above 10 will not provide additional damage so they will be basically useless. As much as possible, have your villagers gathering away from enemy fire. 4. This is a bit more advanced but if you confirm the rush, you can build a couple of long wall segments between your ranged units or canons and the enemy units before they arrive (you can delete the pillars so the wall only costs 10w in total). This will prevent them from getting too close so you can keep the range advantage and will help you keep your units alive if the enemy trains or ships few hussars. Sorry for the long comment. I hope it helps some new players trying to defend a rush and learning the game. Very nice pauses on the video to explain what you're doing. I think it's better this way than if the video just keeps playing and what's happening on the screen is not related to what you're talking about. Cheers! Edit: misspelling.

You can confirm a rush using the score too. If it spikes a bunch it means they are building units. If it stays around your score they aren't.

My first card is gold gather rate and even though i might take a beating at the beginning of the rush i've got the economy to mass produce caroleans and turn things around. The third card for Sweden comes at around the time i get my barracks up so it's not that huge a loss to not get troops on the second card.
