@@riley_621 So you have to get a bit that is not too sharp or it will go right through the rubber band. Then you narrow it down right on top of the stripped screw and press with medium to hard pressure not to hard it something will break. Then you twist

@@xcatpatrolxyeah not too sure about that one, unless it’s been stripped due to cross threading and was never quite fully in. I’ve found that cleaning the screw and the driver w alcohol and using a bit of superglue on the tip of the driver will get that screw out every time. Let it sit for about a minute (only seconds with activator) and you’ll almost always get it out

I just line up my smallest flathead, give it a good tap to get a workable groove, and that usually does it for me without another tool

But what do you do when they're flush against the frame and not halfway sticking out, allowing access to the shaft without marking the phone with the grinder?

Something i did a long time ago was putting solder on the screw, and right after put the screwdriver, let the solder sit and unscrew. Just that, if you are unscrewing on plastic... please wait for the thing to cool down. You might ruin some gameboy case.

Use a knife to get the screw out as much as you can

@@therealsnowwhite1937 for a flat head screw/bolt, I can see this working many times, but for Phillips head, Torx, and Hex, not so much. Direct impacts head on with a stubborn screw/bolt works many times as well.

I wish I knew this video when I was trying to repair my iPhone 7 Plus Screen The Home Button screw got stripped and I could not get it out, I had to bend the metal bracket to pop the home button out

If this happens, I usually just end up grabbing a large Philips screw bit and going at it until it gives. Works most of the time

Hey man i have an idea for ya. You can so tutorial classes in youtube or google and get paid for it im sure every body want to know how to fix phones

Screws are usually just below the surface of the body. You scratched the trim on the body of the phone, and the screw was already out some, raised above the surface. When you started taking the screw out, you either covered the scratch or it was a different phone.

Literally happened to me today...

There are smaller tips for the grinding pen. That or you can put something to protect it.

If u pull the screen up a big u can force push the screw out as well

4th time asking 😣: I’m 15 and I want to turn screen replacement etc into a business where can I go to buy cheap but good quality screens preferably for iPhone 6, 7 and onwards. Also any other advice for ppl like me.

If this is your 4th time asking here's a hint. The question is too broad. That's placing a lot of burden on the person being asked, to give a lot of info with very little direction and that in itself could be a very long video. If you're genuinely interested in doing that, put in the hours of research to look into all the options out there and find what would fit your business model. You might find the reason you're not finding answers is because it is either hard to do, not available, not plausible, or underresearched. Either way you either have to adjust your question to be more specific, try forums rather than asking one single person on the KZread comments, adjust the business model to adapt to what resources you can find, and invest your time to figure this all out. Starting a business is hard and a lot of work goes into it before it ever starts. That means answering a lot of your own questions. I'm not trying to come across as rude or harsh, but the emoji you used is giving the impression that you are disappointed and expectant of an answer the first time you asked. It's not a fair thing to expect an answer to such a broad question, especially when it's entirely possible he never even saw it in the first place. Either do the legwork yourself and learn the intricate details you need for the business or start volunteering/working at tech repair shops to build experience and discover resources you'd need. No one is going to give all the answers you need in one go, because if they had all the answers they would be doing it themselves or don't want to help create a bunch of competition. I hope you find the answers and resources you need for it
