He is a good instructor! They don’t teach beauty school students how to do many different styles of haircuts, just the basics. I had only done 3 cuts on my mannequin before I was put out on the floor to service customers. How stylists become good ones is through continuing education and watching other stylists techniques if your not busy.

1st vid I’ve watched & you got a new sub 🙌 I appreciated many things about your vid. It was under 15mins & concise. I need this haircut...

This is the technique we used back in the day to create the "Rachel" cut! Depending if we wanted a really defined "scoop" in the back/bottom, a lot of times we over-directed and then brought the section back down to 90 degrees to create a more carved look that encouraged the ends to flip out. Sometimes I even went in with a razor comb to carve it out even more if people wanted the defined bob on top with more of a shaggy bottom - similar to the "chop" haircut made famous by the girls on 90210 around that same time period.

James, love the haircut. The lines are so simple, yet precise & the style is so versatile that can be parted in the middle, swept to the side, worn straight or curled. Im presently growing out my hair after losing it all to breast cancer so right now it's in layers. I hate layers & this is a great style while growing out layers. Is this style good for thin hair as well I can tell this is thick hair! I’d stand by her station handing her curlers, perm rods and sweep her floor along with some of the other stylists station. To this day perm solution is a bit nostalgic and it cleans your rings well! 😆

Интересная работа ,использую часть из такой техники ,когда надо сохранить длинные волосы и сделать по низу лесенку ,вот спереди стригу так как в конце ,главная прядь посредине (челка) и тогда по линии лица. Соединяю по кругу. Сверху спереди беру не все боковые части (тк.там мало волос ,весочные части головы). Понравилось, можно использовать такую технику на среднию и длинную длину волос! Спасибо большое за информацию!😀👍

I'm watching from Alamo, Indiana, USA. not a proffessional...I've always preffered to cut my own hair. many moons before the covid crisis. I used to cut our sons hair for him sometimes now he goes for short. I have long layers my husband's mom does his hair and is teaching me. our daughter is not yet 2 so she hasn't got a haircut yet:) I want to be able to cut hers for her and our sons if they want in the future tho. I have a few friends that are hairstylists...it's absolutely an art form I highly value your work and I am grateful you have shared your work thank you!

a real professional at work, this is the technique I was taught at college 2008. I can't seem to find a stylist who takes such pride in their work. My last stylist retired due to covid. Wish me luck.

Yep, the California coastline is spectacular! But I'd love to come surf some Australian waves! You'll have to hit the 1 and travel from Morro Bay up to Monterey👍 Cambria is the best for a quiet getaway by the ocean🌺 Just in case you were interested😂
