You seem like the Bob Ross of crochet. And I mean that in the best way possible! 💗💗
Such a chirpy chat. I love your colours and I'll definitely be back for more crocheting along ❤
THANK YOU for showing how to sew in the ends in the back loops! So much easier than knotting and/or weaving! You're the only one I've seen do this! Now I can really enjoy making these multi-colored grannies! So happy!
I really enjoy your videos, I like your humour and chatting.Im an experienced crocheter, but always happy to learn new things, crocheting is a continual learning experience
Perfect no nonsense square, brilliantly explained with your happy banter👍
Thank you for the tip to slip the yarn tail into the back loops 😊
I love this way of making a classic granny square. No chaining between stitches except in the corners. Everything is double crochet so I don’t have to go from dc to hdc to dc, again. Much simpler. I’m making a Rosanne-like blanket.
fantastic job - very easy to follow - you are the "granny square" Queen !!!
this is the very best video on how to make a Granny Square...Thank you so much on showing your tips so it's not wonky. I never liked my squares until I saw this video.Once again Thank You So Much.
This was the first tutorial that helped me complete a successful granny square! Thank you!
Oh I'm so glad that you just showed up on my thread ! You have a very special touch. And I love your color choices and your advice.. You have a new subscriber . I do can't wait to try making your stuff.. 🥰🤗💛🧡💚💙💜❤️
Thanks for this FANTASTIC tutorial and video. You are fabulous and you explain it so well. Now I know why my other squares are a wee bit wonky. I am excited about my new order of cotton yarn to make colorful combinations and make a blanket.
Thank you! I just did my first granny square and it came out perfect!
I'm so glad to see someone else use the first dc instead of the chain! I'm doing the happy dance!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
I have no words to thank you enough for the tip you gave us . Flipping is the tip !! I made a sweater with a big Granny Square and it got all twisted ... I asked the teacher and I asked Google about it and nobody could explain me about this mystery ... Until I found you ... Thank God for your life. You are super !!!!
Thankyou for the clear concise instruction and charming commentary
Can’t wait to try this technique! Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much. I will start doing this.
Beautiful work, very clean ending, love the way you explained the steps, thanks you for sharing, and for your time. I'm going to try the way you crochet this granny square, I find it different from the others' DIY square grannies. Thank you for sharing. Loved ❤😊
Brilliantly clear instructions..thank you..I love your channel!
Thank you so much for the learning lesson today. Your crochet is the neatest I ever saw. You are so right about the flipping with each row. It gives the stability to the project that I never got. I have only completed one baby blanket and it looks so so floppy compared to yours. Now you have given me reason to try another. Have you any tips about choosing your yarn texture and appropriate hook size. I have no time to experiment as I’m 95 y o……..Gratefully appreciated
Hi..what size is your finished 5 round granny square in inches please?
Thank you , I just finish mine ❤👏🏻
Now I know why my granny squares are wonky. Thanks a lot. Best wishes from New Zealand 💞

Some really good tips here, Thank You ...I'm off to make a bomb proof blanket ! 💣💣💣
Yes i did enjoy it ❤
I hold the yarn across my middle finger, that’s what I’ve been doing since young and have never come across a tutorial where they hold the yarn on their middle finger . I thought it affected your tension, although it never has with me. I’m so happy I came across your excellent tutorial.. I will be filling you tutorials from now on .. Thankyou so much ❤
I am new to your channel. I enjoy your tutorial for a granny square. Thanks for sharing step by step instructions made it easy to follow. Have a great day and happy crocheting.♥️
Very nice work thanks for sharing ⭐️🤩⭐️🤩⭐️👋🤗♥️
Thank you so much. New subscriber ❤
Thank you so much for this informative video!!! I kinda got hints that after the ring was made, it was basically repeat of the first actual square so I kinda left you 🤣 I watched til the 3rd round to make sure but then I just went with it. I used bolder colors, bright yellow, orange, green, red and blue, and mind turned out beautiful!!!!! I'm not sure which I like better, this granny or the sunburst granny!!!

Yep, it is 😅 -that’s kind of the beauty of granny squares, once started they’re very easy and can even be meditative. Just go on forever and ever. I flip flop between the granny, starbursts and sunbursts. They’re all beautiful in their own right ☺️ Happy crocheting!
You hold the yarn the way I do! I never see people hold it across their middle finger.

So nice
Thats true. And i like the look of it better too. It seems to be more textured when you flip the work
I love your tutorial and you have a pleasant voice😊 how do you choose your colors?
I like the u explain how to close from the start of the square
Hi, very beautyfull square ! How many balls or skeins of wool are necessary for a plaid ( sofa ), or a blanket for a 2 places bed? Thank you !
Hi! Love your tutorials... Very clear and helpful. I have a question about how to avoid the spiraling when using a single color of yarn and creating a large granny square blanket.

Hi Barbara! I have a tutorial for that too-just made it the other day 😅 check it out here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iH9s0cOIadfehcY.html Happy crocheting 🥰
How many material do you use to do a blanket or a plaid? Thank you for the answer. Danièle from France.
Thank you very much, I found your tutorial easy to follow and very relaxing. You’re an excellent teacher. 😃
Thank you for the tips. I really liked the weaving in the tails one and will be using it quite often.
Really love your videos! Just found and subscribed to your channel tonight and I’ve watched every video! Thanks
Your color selections are so beautiful. Is there a certain color choice technique that you use??
When I weave in my ends as I go, if I make a mistake (which happens often) I can't find the end and I have to end up cutting the work that I just did.
how big is the finished square? I want to make a throw blanket out of them and was wondering how many squares 50 and 60 inches would be :)
Even if you don’t flip between rows and it may look like it curves to the right, wouldn’t it just straighten out once you use the project like a blanket or sweater or bag, etc?
Idk what I'm doing wrong, at the start (the red part on yours) when I try to finish it, it makes 5 little hole things instead of 4 I even re did half of it to try to fix it. I think I'm just stupid idek
Does it work if I don't have to change colors? how do I start a new row in the corner?
Thank you SO much for this video. Lots of good tips/tricks. Is there a "written" description of your method please? I'm not always by a computer or tablet and it'd be nice to have this reminder of front/back etc. Well done!!

Where do you buy your yarn pleas
Hi if not changing colors do you still need to flip the square over?
@nautikrallcrochet
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy! Yes! Flipping the square is what maintains the perfect squared shape. If you don’t flip each round-as your square grows you’ll end up with slanting/twisting of the stitches.
so... at the very end, when finished, please tell me which is the right side please?
Just seen your pattern today for the first time and I like it. What I’m doing I am working with one color with simply soft yarn in pink to make my niece a baby blanket. I like how you chain 2 at the beginning , I don’t chain in between , and the 3dc ch2 3dc on the corner I only ch1. When I turn, I turn and slip stitch in the hole between the 3dc, then ch2, and resume all the way around and sl st to the top of the 1st dc. 🧶❤️👍awesome this is my new way of doing it thank you for sharing your pattern.
Where can I get that kind of yarn
What do you mean by “flip”?
It's better when u flip it it looks nice
Hi. Why flip the square? Can't you join on the first side?
What weight is your yarn ?
This not beginner friendly but i refuse to stop yet
can y..ou make it larger
Thank you so much for the tutorial! One question though, why do we start with 2 dc only, when we continue with 3 all around? After the first row, my square looks nothing like a square. :(
@nautikrallcrochet
2 жыл бұрын
You start with 2 dc because the starting Ch counts as the first dc (ch 2 + 2dc = 3dc total). It will not effect the round or the following round-I would go back and try again.

@@nautikrallcrochet Oh yes, I should've realized that! And yes, I did start over, and I got it much better the second time. :) I just wasn't sure whether I'd gone wrong at the very start. Thank you!
How do I continue if I dont change colors. Please
@GrannyBeeCrochets

You slip stitch to the next corner
If you don’t flip the squares there is a definite right and wrong side - if you flip the squares they are reversible
Can you make it solid
@nautikrallcrochet

Absolutely! I actually have a tutorial for that here: m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/iH9s0cOIadfehcY.html Best, M
Of all the things to really stick, its yarn barf. 😂
This is diffinitly NOT a beginners video! 😢
Thank you for the tutorial but you need to talk way freaking louder
