How to Crochet Calico Flowers Scarf

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This incredible Crochet Calico Flowers Scarf is not as hard as it looks. There is an extensive diagram with a lot of detail but if you dissect it, you will see the commonality between the half motif shapes. The yarn changes colour on its own. I've never seen a pattern transition in colour like this. I thought it would not work out but due to the design, the colouring matches up. Initially, I thought it was several motifs that are sewn or attached together. It's not. It's a continuous scarf that grows out.
Get the free pattern shown at thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-c...
There are 1 full motif and 19 half motifs in this scarf in total before proceeding to the border. #crochet #learntocrochet #crochettutorial .
This video is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. The captioning is also available in multiple languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. The written pattern is only available in English. . *** .

Thank you again, Mikey for coming to the rescue! They had the yarn on sale and I thought the picture on the label was lovely. When I looked at the diagram and instructions I thought, "I'm so lost. I'm not going to be able to make this." Then I thought, "Let me see if there is KZread tutorial for this," and sure enough you were at the top of the list! I'm off to a great start and I can't wait to finish (and wear) it.

hi Mikey, Thanks for the show. I had made this pattern years ago w/o you. Now I have a better understanding. I made with unforgettable stained glass, J hook. same count, BUT in DC and when needed the 4 ch count for TR I did 3 ch.ALSO 17 halves / 18 makes full scarf with 1 skein I also made with Ferris wheel, did it with the Brown color mix, looked like a wagon wheel, a wonderful mans scarf. At 13:40, you flipped the first motif over to start on the second one. I have noticed that many KZread crocheters turn their work the same way you do, but the working tail ends up at the front and gets in the way. I like to turn the other way, which ensures the tail is at the back, which makes more sense to me. Any insights?

The printed chart for the scarf shows a difference in the 'second' half motif - in one picture the beggining half loop chain four joins to the sixth treble of the previous round. In the picture with the edging it joins to the end 7th treble. I don't understand if this is a mistake or how the half motifs 'travel' once it gets longer thanf the diagram shown. I've decided to just be consistent to what I've done so far and know that when it's done it will look fancy. TL:DR if it were up to me alone I'd get frustrated with the pattern and give up but video tutorials such as this have taught me to just have fun with it! Thanks Mikey and Yarnsiprations - even though your pattern bewilders me!

After the sl St of the 15 TR it says to turn. You, however ch 3, sk 3 and sl st into 4th trc. I am going to add that step on the instructions and follow you. Just asking if I'm ok with that. If so, maybe it'll help others. Thank you, Mikey.
