How to Crochet Kaleidoscope Shawl (Right Handed)
The Kaleidoscope Shawl is a free crochet shawl pattern. It's easy to make, and it's comfortable to wear. It's worked in the Unforgettable yarn from Red Heart. You can style The Kaleidoscope in a number of different ways, making it versatile for different seasons. As you can see, the bandana styling worn in front is one popular option for this free crochet shawl pattern.

IMPORTANT Correction: in the video when I did the picot, i missed a dc. The instructions say-dc-picot: (dc, dc, ch 3, slip st to dc just made, dc) in stitch or space indicated....I missed the last dc of the picot. My eyes didn’t see it.
I should have done the following : dc, (dc, dc, ch3, dc) dc. Easy enough to correct and add the last dc :)

You are an inspiration to me, a joy to follow your tutorial. I feel you are so nice kind and a jolly personal, "real wood" as we say here in Norway 🇳🇴 Easy to understand, even for me a 60year old woman, never been in a English spoken country. Thank you from Irene 🥰❤

I've been crocheting for 55 years and I want to say how much I appreciate that you aren't just teaching stitches, but you are teaching principles, which means your students will eventually be able to freeform crochet or change patterns to suit themselves because they understand the principles you are teaching. Well done.

Thank you SO MUCH for saying this. It is exactly how I approach the videos on my channel. I tend to talk more than others because I am teaching the why not just the how but I think that will make better crocheters and knitters. xoxo

And it's obvious to me that you are having fun doing it. BTW, I love your set. It has just enough little color highlights without distracting from what you're doing. A great set up. I notice you're doing a two camera shoot and the definition is really good. What editing software are you using? Your edits are really clean and everything is synced quite nicely.

@@MarlyBird I learned how to crochet with all of the wonderful KZread Teachers - mainly The Crochet Crowd & Bag-o-day Crochet & a few others. You are the 1st one that actually explained parts of what the written pattern means. I have yet to hear this from anyone. This actually made sense to me & I thank you for that.

@@lavenderrainbow5041 Have you noticed that bag o day crochet turns her work the wrong direction -- that puts her working yarn strand in front of the work instead of keeping it behind the work? It's a pet peeve of mine.

This is an amazing tutorial. I’m a beginner who has practiced multiple different stitches and was ready for my first project. I felt overwhelmed with patterns and found them very confusing. Not only did you show how to make this, you taught how to read a pattern. I’ve since been able to read simple patterns and am excited to try more patterns. Thank you for making such a thorough tutorial. ❤️

I hope Red Heart knows how lucky they are to have you!!! I love the shawl and I really love the yarn you used....I don't usually buy Red Heart yarn because I always thought of it as rough but I'm going to go get this yarn! Thanks so much I've learned a lot and I'm 73 yrs old...and that's saying alot!!!

This is really beautiful Marly! And so easy really with your clear and concise instruction. I particularly like your remarks on the edge where, if the stitch count is a bit off, work with it so that it is flat which is the goal. Sometimes we get so bogged down and want it to be perfect and fit exactly. It’s in our little differences that makes it our own. I’m not saying to mess up on purpose but if it happens, go with it and it will work out! Well done!
