    I woke up today and decided to unbury my mothers yarn stash and do a granny square sweater. I pulled up 8 tutorials before this one, all labeled "begginer" but I didn't know the terminology, so you showing what yarn over means is really appreciated. Thank you!

    I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful for you🥰, especially in clarifying the terminology and making the process more accessible for beginners. Learning crochet can indeed be a bit challenging at first, but once you get the hang of the basic terms and techniques, it becomes a wonderful and rewarding skill. If you ever come across more terms or techniques that you find confusing, don't hesitate to reach out for clarification. Best of luck with your granny square sweater project! If you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🧶😊

    I am so glad i found this pattern. I started a project about a year ago. It's a pixelated skull granny square blanket. It Prompted me to have my husband dig out all of my yarn that has been in the crawl space of our house for upwards of a decade. I made the traditional holey granny squares, and made them too large. I also whip-stitched the rows tohether, and it looked awful. I put that project away for half a year or more. 🥺 I still wanted to make the blanket, but I needed a better plan. In comes this square! Made it with a smaller hook, and I am slip-stitching them together. Plus I am sewing in the tails as I go. The awesome part is, frogging an old square is more than enough yarn to make a new one! I am stoked at how the first row of this project is coming! You reignited the excitement for the project that got me crocheting, again!! Thank you so very much, and I hope you are having a fantastic day!!!

    Thank you so much🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that you found the pattern and that it has reignited your excitement for your project. It sounds like you've found a fantastic solution to breathe new life into your blanket. Repurposing yarn from your old squares is such a clever idea, and slip-stitching them together while sewing in the tails as you go will make the process much smoother. Thank you for sharing your journey with me, and I'm truly honored to have played a part in rekindling your passion for crocheting. If you ever need further assistance or just want to share more of your progress, feel free to reach out. Wishing you all the best with your blanket project, and I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day too! 🌟😊

    I'm delighted to hear you adore the tutorial! 🥰 To end the square, you can finish off by fastening off your yarn. After completing your final round, cut the yarn, leaving a tail of about 6 inches. Then, yarn over and pull the tail through the loop on your hook to secure it. Weave in the loose ends using a yarn needle to tidy up your work. If you need further clarification or have any more questions, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🌟🧵

    @AdoreCreaCrochet

    3 ай бұрын

    You're very welcome! 🥰The needle size you should use for bulky shaded thick wool depends on your personal tension or gauge. For bulky yarn, you would typically use a larger hook or needle to achieve a looser, more open stitch. The recommended needle size is usually mentioned on the yarn label. Best of luck with your project😊

    Confused on one part. So when you chain up 5 and start your row. At the end in the beginning you made one more chain then slip stich to bring together as 2 chains for the corner. But then the next row up you didn’t make the second chain for the corner at the end and just made slip stitch. So when I did the next round of 11 on each side I only had 10 when on the 4th side. So I’m always one short each row. What am I missing. I really hope that made sense lol. Still learning.

    Thank you for reaching out and asking for clarification! It's completely normal to have questions when you're learning. I think reviewing the video might help clear things up. Sometimes, it can be a small nuance or variation that's easily missed during the initial watch. Take your time to carefully observe how the corner is handled in each row and pay attention to the chain counts. If you still find it confusing after rewatching, don't hesitate to pause and rewind the video as needed. Keep up the great work, and don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions. Crocheting can be a bit tricky at times, but with practice and patience, you'll get the hang of it. Happy crocheting! 🧶😊

    I used Drops Big Merino in this video. It is great for beginners, easy to work with and it has a bit of elasticity, which makes more easy to get even stitches. It´s so important to use the right kind of yarn when you are just starting out, it makes the experience of learning much better. I wish you the the best of luck with your project🤗

    Absolutely! You can change colors in a solid granny square. Simply switch to a new color yarn at the start of a new round. It’s a great way to add some variety and make your project even more unique. Have fun with it! 😊🎨

    Wait but how do you fasen off at the end

  • @AdoreCreaCrochet

    @AdoreCreaCrochet

    17 күн бұрын

    To fasten off at the end of your crochet project, follow these steps: Finish your final stitch as usual, leaving a tail of yarn about 4-6 inches long. Cut the yarn, leaving the tail. Yarn over and pull the cut end of the yarn through the loop on your hook. Pull tight to secure the end. Use a yarn needle to weave in the tail ends into the finished work to hide them. This creates a secure closure and finishes off your project neatly. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been having difficulties. Learning to crochet a solid granny square can be a bit challenging at first, but don't get discouraged! It's normal to encounter obstacles, especially as a beginner. Here are a few tips that might help: Start Simple: Choose a simple pattern with basic stitches to begin with. Practice the fundamental stitches like chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet until you feel more comfortable. Go Slow: Take your time and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. It's perfectly okay to pause, rewind, and repeat steps as needed. Use Clear Tutorials: Find video tutorials or written instructions that explain each step clearly. Sometimes different explanations or demonstrations can make a concept click. Practice: Crochet is a skill that improves with practice. Try making small swatches or practice pieces to build your confidence before tackling larger projects. Seek Help: If you're still having trouble with a specific part, consider asking for help from fellow crocheters or joining a crochet community online. Others may be able to provide tips or advice. Remember, everyone progresses at their own pace, and it's okay to encounter challenges along the way. If there's a specific part of the pattern or technique you're struggling with, feel free to share, and I'll do my best to provide guidance. Don't hesitate to take breaks and come back to it with a fresh perspective. You've got this! 🌟💖🧶
